I think this guy still can make it. He needs to learn to sit on his punches, he seems to slap more than punch. he was slippin some shots on Cotto, but there wasnt anything on them. this guy needs to re-tool, maybe switch trainers, i think he can still improve.

The problem is did Cotto beat his furture out of him. It happeneds alot in boxing when a kid steps up too early and takes a beating. Alot of times they never recover and end up losing to average guys

Definitely, there's no otherway for this kid but to improve. That loss just gave him and his handlers a clear sign of what he needs to improve and work on.

Good point. Well that's what separates the good fighters from the great fighters. The ability to comeback after a loss. His future is in his own hands.

Yeah, I think that he can still make some noise at 140. Guy has heart for real.

Yea he has heart. Unlike some other fighters that talk mad trash. Then they end up getting Ko'ed..

I was really impressed with Paulie. He took a beating but he kept coming and showed a lot of heart.

He made the fight closer that it should have been by not giving up and staying busy.

Cotto won the fight in the Championship rounds, but Paulie showed he's got a lot of courage and heart.

Can't wait to see both of them fight again.

He needs to learn to sit on his punches,
this is true. i noted it as the fight went on. cotto had a fairly stable base to punch from, which obviously gave him an edge in power.

i wasn't really impressed overall with paulie, except that he didn't give up. he was wide open many, many times, didn't have good balance, and didn't throw the right punches at the right time. he also didn't control the pace, which, if he had, might've made the fight a lot closer.

whether he gets much better, or not, i likely won't be a fan anyways. i will give him his earned props for taking on cotto while having fought relatively low competition comparitively.
