Good job by the WBC telling GYM promotions to kick rocks!
Exactly my thoughts when I first heard that the fight would be against Gvozdyk. I couldn't wait to see how Alvarez' camp would handle this situation.
It's one thing to take step aside money and a good purse to fight former fading local stars in Bute and Pascal. It's a completely different thing to fight a young, talented and hungry Gvozdyk. As a fellow Montrealer, I'd support Alvarez vs Gvozdyk but I still think he loses the fight (and his actions indicates that he thinks so also).

To be honest, I'm still skeptical about where Alvarez stands in the LHW division. I don't think he belongs with the elite of the division (I could be wrong). I'd actually like to see him fight Barrera because those two do everything good in the ring but nothing great but at least Sullivan is more "proven" in the sense that we have a better idea of where he stands talent wise and in the division.
I can't really rate Alvarez of a Bute KO (fading and never belonged at LHW) and a decision against Pascal (an old "shopworn" former champion Pascal (it pains me to say that since Pascal is my favorite local fighter))

Wow. They're finally admitting the mess team Stevenson created.
I'm certain they're blaming everyone but themselves.
This Yvon Michel personality needs to tell the truth.
He's been powerless to control a non-compromising guy like Chickenson, who put Haymon in charge of his ****ty career.
