    2013! It's 2018 now, strip that fool!

Can't stand Stevenson as a person, care little what he does in the ring now, because he's somehow made a mockery of what is already a joke sport with the 'we be crooks' and that shadowy Al Haymon responsible for all of this

Orgs strip champs for not fighting mandatories, they should also strip mandatories of the position if they don't take the title fight.

"Alvarez has wins in three final title eliminator and currently hold wins versus the #9, #10 and #12 WBC contenders. He has stepped aside only once, never got money for it and we can’t see the logic to have to do a fourth title eliminator. He is number one on merits! His goal is to fight against the champion,"

This is just amazing. He's talking like he isn't the promoter of both. He never got money for stepping aside because you didn't give him any.

He literally just took step=aside money! How does he think it's fair to get paid to step-aside, AND remAIN in the mando!

If he never got paid to step-aside last time, it's because his promoter never paid him (lol like Robbie said above).

          You can't double dip, holmes.

Why did the WBC force Canelo to fight GGG one fight after winning the belt but let Adonis go 5 years without a defense?

You're the ****ing WBC - it's your belt, your organization. A promoter or a fighter should never, ever have enough control over you to create a situation this bad.

As usual, the WBC lakes a spine, lacks a standard, and looks elsewhere to blame.

I doubt Sulaiman could run a semi-competent organization, even if he stopped spending his days gargling on Don King's nutsack.

                2016

August 11 – WBC orders free negotiations for mandatory defense Stevenson vs. Alvarez.

September 13 – Groupe Yvon Michel confirms to the WBC that an agreement has been reached so purse offer is cancelled.

Eleider Alvarez like Pascal and Kovalev were in mandatory position but decided to fight other high profile opponents instead for big purses ; the WBC ordered free negotiations for all of these fights. Yvon Michel confirmed to the World Boxing Council that an agreement had been reached so the purse was cancelled, but then GYM promotions request a voluntary defense vs. Lucian Bute -- a title defense for Eleiders WBC 'Silver title' winner got Stevenson --

                2017

February 26 – WBC orders a free negotiation period for Stevenson vs Alvarez. AGAIN.

March 24 – Alvarez informs the WBC that he has agreed to step aside to allow Stevenson a voluntary defense.

This whole time Alvarez was risking his mandatory position when he faced Bute, Pascal and obviously making good money with the purses as they were high profile fights, now Oleksandr Gvozdyk comes into the picture but hes not a big draw like Bute and Pascal are in Candada and only presents great risk so suddenly we got a problem with the World Boxing Council and you're the victim ha?!

Good job by the WBC telling GYM promotions to kick rocks!
