As long as Rios puts up an entertaining fight that's going to serve him well moving forward. But I see Danny Garcia being way too much. I'd like to see Rios go after Danny the way he did Mike Alvarado in their last matchup. That would be awesome lol

Maybe "washed up" is kinda harsh.
How about finished, done, ended? Or maybe broken down, shot, kaput?
Seriously, Rios was a fan friendly fighter at 135-140, lots of heart , good power and no defense. But the fact is, if Garcia's giving him a shot, you gotta believe Brandon's got nothing left.Comment

he's still young but he has taken a lot of beatings,at 135 he was a bit faster, threw more punches, now he's half the fighter he was,he is on the decline while garcia is younger and hasn't had tough fights where he has taken beatings like riosComment

At least Brandon takes ownership for his career downturn and letting himself go, undertraining, overeating, believing his own hype etc. Other fighters could learn from that. Rios was never a top talent but he had a good engine over 12 rounds, excellent chin and fought well on the inside. He’s a big underdog here but I’m looking forward to this fight. I think Garcia has been taking it easy since the Thurman loss and thinks this is a simple tune-up. The Rios from 2-3 years ago will not be a walkover for Garcia. From what I saw at the press conference, Rios looked to be in good shape.Comment
