Comments Thread For: WBC Prez Admits It's Difficult To Split Heavyweight Division in Two

Back in October, BoxingScene.com reported that the World Boxing Council (WBC) was planning to seriously explore the possibility of creating a new division - by splitting the heavyweight division in two - heavyweight and super heavyweight. The WBC mapped out their plan to conduct a six month long study on the matter, to determine if they will move forward with a new weight division.

The HW division is bad enough as it is, please leave it alone. Prioritize getting a single champion first and cleaning up the drug epidemic then get back to us before creating another reason for these guys to duck Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder

: we already know A.J and Tyson already qualify for being in this division weighing close to 300 pounds ; lets not give them any excuses to run away from Bombsquad.

Bronze bummer is the one ducking pricing himself out is a method used by plenty of other fighters. One draws crowds and is a national star. The other is just a c-list celeb who half America doesn't care about. Any other fighter you'd be talking **** too, we all know why that ain't the case with Wildher when it comes to you.

A real solution would be to move the cruiserweight limit to 205 those 5 lbs can do a LOT and weed out a bunch of small hw's

Keep pretending that the quote on the split is literal -- making high demands is how you get a better cut, ask Joey Parker haha! Its chess not checkers rookie.

Once you hit around 220 anybody can be beat if the smaller guy has enough power and skill combo most guys get to big and don't have any movement on stamina

Parker is an actual draw in his country. He may bring fans. Wildher fans are not going across the pond for the Bronze Bummer.
