This fight would be a waste of time. I'm hoping this doesn't happen.

I like Danny, but seems he lost all the momentum he had with the fight with GGG. He lost the fight, but had a solid performance in front of a sold out Garden. His last fight sold about 3K tickets in a boring decision against Arias and these names they are talking about are nothing exciting. Seems like HBO giving him easy fights, but that is not helping to build his career

Danny Jacobs dont even need Spike, O'Sullivan needs to know his role and understand that hes barely in the top ten in most sanctioning bodies ; accept short money cause you are no draw or a name chump!

Danny Jacobs is sitting pretty just under Canelo in the top seats @ 160 all Danny needs to do is wait on the outcome of Canelo-GGG and wait for his shot at the winner -- Spikes people are ****** to pass this up, they are probably satisfied fighting bums in the UK waiting on Billy Joe to give him a opportunity.

Then he should fight some up and coming prospect with elite ability that we haven't heard of yet. I'm sure there is someone available with more speed, power, and skill and O'Sullivan.

And Andrade is still free. HBO should tell him to pick between Jacobs or Deryvanchenko or his HBO contract is terminated if he only came on board to fight tuneups. Last year he said he just needed a full 10 weeks to prepare for Deryvanchenko, but now he's saying he's not big enough to fight big middleweights. He even said "no" he wouldn't face Saunders next! So this guy is a walking excuse machine his entire career, why the **** did HBO sign him? More of HBO bending over backwards for a talented but boring, risk adverse American boxer who thinks he is entitled to fight cab drivers on HBO's airways his entire career. When will HBO learn? Either he fights a top opponent for once in his career or as an HBO subscriber I never want to see him on HBO again. And I was impressed with him despite his failure as usual to make a statement in his last fight (another reason he doesnt break through, but if he's anything like the other American boxers of this generation, he'll probably blame race or something), but if he's not willing to fight the best then that doesn't count for anything. It tells us no matter how impressive he looks in certain aspects of his game, he knows something about his overall game that we don't. Usually, it's the chin. After all, he did get dropped by Vanes, who is not an elite puncher even at 154.

So, it looks like we got another chinny, scared, protected American boxer getting HBO special treatment. Should be great for the sport.

Jacob's is way too inactive for my liking. It's incredible he can boil down to 160.

Oh I don't know. Does O'Sullivan always rock those handlebars? That is prime time.

I would rather this than Jacobs be inactive. But there ain't no way this is selling a bunch or building Jacobs up to beast level.

Jacobs should fight WBO Africa middleweight champion Walter Kautondokwa who is a nightmare.

O'Sullivan looks like he just walked off the set of "Gangs of New York." "Hey Jacobs how about some fisticuffs?"

ahhh no thanks. this is pathetic. spike's win over douglas wasn't even an upset to people who knew Douglas and boxing.

Douglas can't handle pressure fighters who have even above average punching power. And Spike just has above average power.

If you want Jacobs to have a stay-busy/tune-up fight, cool. But NOT HBO main-event please.
