Another Al Haymon boxer ruining the sport. No surprise. And just wait, I bet you Gary Russell Jr is going to come up with some way to avoid facing Jo Jo Diaz yet. Heck, Gvozdyk and Diaz are not even proven elite boxers, and Haymon's boxers are still avoiding them. Just imagine the level of ducking that must have been going on behind the scenes with this same group of Haymon boxers when GGG and Kovalev were in their primes calling trying to make fights.

Not only are Gvozdyk and Russell Jr. ruining their own careers, they're also ruining the careers of their mandatories they won't face, and all the other world class boxers who want to face the best in their divisions in order to create a legacy, but can't because those guys are Al Haymon certified duckers.

The problem is Pimp also ducked Hopkins and then Pascal. Kovalev fought Hopkins and Pascal twice. Kovalev then fought Ward twice. Looking at their careers, I think it's safe to say Kovalev is the braver fighter.
Kovalev never ducked. Unlike Alvarez, Kovalev is the one who asked for the purse bid in the first place. Then Al Haymon got his buddy Sulaiman to move the purse bid up months in advance for no reason, before Kovalev's promoter had the money, or the contractual freedom from HBO, to take part in it, so Duva had no choice but the pull out. Haymon knew what he was doing. Why else move a purse bid months in advance? Oh is it because Stevenson is always in such a hurry his entire career and wanted to make sure to get in 4 fights that year? Yeah right. The dude is happy fighting once a year. Do the math. Haymon simply used another trick to duck the fight, this time figuring out how to make it look like it was Kovalev's fault when it wasn't. Everyone knows the clear pattern is that Kovalev has tried many different things to make the fight, and even agreed to a contract in writing that Duva and Michel had also agreed to, while Stevenson and Haymon have tried many different things to kill the fight, which is easy when you have the WBC on your side.

Alvarez has been pushing the WBC for 2 years to fight Stevenson, since they wont force the guy to fight, Alvarez has bills to pay so why not take step aside money.
WRONG! He want to stay in Quebec. Eyes of the tiger are by far the favorite to get him

WTF are you talking about Gvozdyk is in top Rank and is trying to secure mandatories on the belts. Barrera, Browne and now Alvarez avoided him in fights to determine his mandatory status! And it is the same Gvozdyk who demolished Chilemba and whom Kovalev went the distance!

Alvarez had thought he had a chance against Chickenson but now there's a big another problem for him. And the problem is called GVOZDYK.

And please don't tell me Alvarez is not ducking Gvozdyk, please. Because the winner of that bout will fight Chickenson, WBC will make sure of that. Well, rather Chickenson will just retire, so it's the best chance of being a WBC chamption Alvarez has ever had!

But, again, if only Gvozdyk hadn't existed.

I have no idea, but maybe he decided that it would be smarter to just sit around and enjoy the step money, and maintain the # 1 position. Seems a lot safer than walking into a nail... Of course there could be some other reason I dunno.
