Honestly look down his record and see how many fighters lost in their few fights before Pacquiao. CHERRY PICKER.
A lot were coming off losses but do you agree about the following Mayweather opponents that can be nitpicked -

De La Hoya - KO'd by 39 year old Hopkins and had 1 fight in 3 years

Cotto - Brutally beaten up by Pacquaio and troubled somewhat by washed up versions of Mayorga and Margarito

Judah - coming off a loss to a bum

Mosley - 38 years old, coming off his longest layoff (16 months) and was recently soundly defeated by Cotto and looked like turd against shot Mayorga

Mitchell - just been obliterated by Tszyu

Pacquaio - washed up and recently obliterated by a 39 year old lightweight Marquez

Berto - recently KO'd by JSK

Marquez - just moved up two divisions and was brought up a further two

Or are they all perfect wins against all-time greats in their primes and no fighter in history would have defeated them that night?

Fighters like Cotto, Mosley, Marquez were the highest rated fighters in their division when Mayweather fought them and were coming off good wins. Pacquiao fought guys that lost then fought bums before he fought them, no good wins inbetween. Cherry picked.

Morales lost to Raheem at 135 so surely by that logic you should count the Morales re-match win? Sure, he lost to an ATG like Barrera but sometimes that happens when you fight ATG's in or near their prime like those guys did.

Mosley was not the highest rated welterweight. Pacquaio was and Mosley had been out 16 months. Marquez didn't fight Mayweather at his weight. He moved up two.

But at least you admitted the De La Hoya, Judah, Berto, Mitchell, Pacquaio fights were useless due to circumstances so that's a start I guess.

Morales fought at 135 because he said he couldn't make 135, Pacquiao forced him down for the rematch.

Mosley was the lineal and WBA champion, Pacquiao ducked him, Roach said he was "too good"

De La Hoya was Mayweather moving up in weight fighting someone so much bigger. Judah was already signed before he lost, when Judah was the man to beat. Mitchell was Mayweathers move up to WW. Berto was Mayweathers retirement fight. All understandable.

If you actually look at the records unbiased then Pacquiao clearly is the one that cherry picked. Undeniable.

BTW. Pacquiao, Mosley and Marquez were rated top 3 P4P.

Morales had a non-title fight so he fought at a little higher weight. History is full of instances like that. Mosley was not the #1 in the world. He was inactive 16 months and Pacquaio was consensus #1. Mosley was beaten by Cotto who I'm sure you think is trash (apart from one night against Mayweather were he was an ATG).

De La Hoya won the first title of his pro career at 130 just like Mayweather. He was also washed up and like I said 1 fight in 3 years since his KO loss. Funny you use size for two men similar in size as an excuse but you probably never factor in Pacquaio won his first title at flyweight. You try to claim Marquez was bigger or equal to Floyd despite being 28 lbs different 2 years prior yet Floyd and Oscar were never that far apart.

              DLH was similar in size?

Pacquiao was dehydrating 10+ lbs in the smaller weights and was forced to move up. Mayweather wasn't. I actually made a thread a while back showing fight night weights between Mayweather and Pacquiao and they both weighed around the same at the same age but one was fighting bigger fighters while one was fighting smaller. Guess which ones which?

Anyway this threads about Pacquiao. Stop trying to deflect. Make your own thread if you want to discuss Mayweather.

They turned pro and won their first titles at the same weight (130).

That argument can go two ways depending on your perspective. While I agree Floyd fought these guys coming off "wins", we DO have to keep in mind the wins can also be very subjective as it relates to how you rate the quality of the wins. Some believe Pacquiao fought a less worn Cotto who by the time he fought Floyd had gone through the ringer with not only Margarito and Clottey but Pacquiao too without fighting a Top 5 guy until he inevitably fought Floyd. Some also argue Cotto fought a more active / younger Mosley where Floyd fought him coming off a win but 16 months removed from that fight (Margarito). Again, perspective is everything but you can make a solid argument on both ends as to the quality of both guys' wins against same opposition.
