In an all-time great sense I don't think you could rank him among the top 20 all-time featherweights.

Great power in both hands, but sloppy technique and average defense and major balance issues and fundamental flaws. I'm not one to write him off because of the shellacking Barrera gave him because he had some solid wins like Tom Johnson, Manuel Medina, Vuyani Bungu and Kevin Kelley and at different times he did win the WBO, WBC and IBF belts and reigned for over 5 years I just think he's been glorified into an almost mythical talent in recent times by some fans.

He's in the hall of fame but I don't think he deserves it.
I had similar thoughts. Because of all the extras he did in the ring, it's quite easy for fans to look at the entertainment value and just go crazy with the rankings.

I just don't think Ive seen that many good fighters. More like 50, and 50 tomato cans lol

Naz was a show though, the second he would leap the ropes the drunk brits would mark out.

Yea whats up man? I agree he belongs no where near top 10 pfp all time. But I think I prob rate him a little higher then you.I don't think he "quit like *****"he took his beatin from Marco and he did beat quite a few very good fighters(Medina, johnson,Vasquez,McC,Bungu,Kelly ect)but no ATGs but sometimes beating a lot of good fighters is more impressive then beating 1 great one(styles). And one thing we cant disagree on is that he could REALLY punch.Hope you had happy holidays!!

          This might be the answer.

I believe you got it wrong. I wasn't asking P4P all time, I was asking about P4P top 10 now, comparing him to the likes of Canelo, GGG, Mikey, Thurman.... Who are guys currently on everyone's list.

Some perspective there's around 250 fighters in the hall of fame counting old-timers and modern category (around 125-130 in each section) and of the modern catergory I'd say it's hard to find more than 10 he's better than and then you've got around 20 or so fighters that are HOF worthy that have been ignored and then a bunch of fighters like Marquez, Pacquaio, Mayweather, Hopkins etc; who've retired recently that are obviously going in so he'd probably be no better than 150 of fighters of the "modern" era which is considered the 30's.

              Hamed's lucky if he's top 250 all-time. I wouldn't consider him top 200.

Thunderous puncher, extremely unorthodox and very fun to watch the spectacle of Prince Nazeem as well as his fights but he finally fought a true elite of the time and got dealt with and I mean dealt with. He tucked his tail after knowing his persona was shattered and ran.

Yea, those are the usual suspects and a few more you didn't add like some religious mumbo jumbo and his alleged bad hands.

What's up Johnny Boy! Dam man, you recognize more of those names than I do. I recognize Kelley, Pocket Rocket, Vazquez. Getting bells on Sanchez and Soto but not sure can remember their faces without Googling them.

Yes, the man could punch for sure! I liked him so much back then, but I just can't get over him quitting at 28 after losing to MAB. Still bitter!!!

oh, maybe I've seen far more fighters than I thought then, because one of my favorite past times is watching classic matches I've never seen on youtube when I can't sleep (as an insomniac, that's most nights lol)
