As for Barrera, yeah he’s trying his luck. If he wins the Bivol fight, he will have a belt and leverage for a payday. If he loses, it takes him back a fair amount in his career.
Rigo needs you to make a mistake, just like Lomachenko needs you to make a mistake; Rigo does it with his feet and body placement, while Lomachenko does it with his extra movement and bait shots.

Neither guy was able to impose their will which is why the fight was a stalemate, until Rigo said **** this and retired in his stool.

If he loses, he loses; Duva wasn't going to pay him either way, so hopefully he performs well enough to get a shot elsewhere.

Stalemate? Loma was hammering Rigo, dominating him from every angle at every moment.

He landed 10% of his punches

Don't let the post-fight hype deceive you.

Rigo landed 7% of his shots (output even lower than usual) Lomachenko landed something like 11% (with near none of the shots being hard telling blows), and Rigo decided to quit on his stool (hand wasn't feeling good, and even neither guy was doing much, Lomachenko was winning rounds almost purely on being the busier guy).

Outside of a hurt hand, Rigo basically took zero damage in the fight

Duva always lying to justilfy the cherry picks for Kovalev. She knows exactly why Barerra turned down the offer. She lowballed him for that reason so she would have an excuse for the cherry pick. Thats the second time Kovalev ducked Barerra, Before the first Ward fight, they ducked him and Kovalev went to Russia and HBO put Ward in front of Barrera. They still don't want Barerra, granted he is a tough out for Kovalev.

WHAAAAAAT---NO WAY YOU BELIEVE THIS. You are part of the .111111111 percent.

Loma imposed his will from the opening bell until rigo quit. It was an extremely dominate performance, in every way, from every angle.

Rigo said **** it because he was getting punched in the face and couldn't hit loma back. It's really that simple

He landed 11 percent of his punches! What are you smoking?

You've let the talk about the fight cloud the perception of the actual fight, lol.

I remember the fight; I know folks haven't done that, but don't the 30 minutes and watch that drivel again.

Just like Klitschko-Fury was a **** fight that no one bothered to watch again (which helped spin a 7-5 **** fight, with time, into a great performance by the big talking Traveller), Lomachenko-Rigondeaux was another bad fight that the media has spun for Top Rank after the fact.

Rigo sat in his corner with nary a mark on his face, a hand that hurt in his mind, and seeing rounds go away due to simple activity (11% connect to 7% connect, with Lomachenko simply throwing bait punches for the most part), and made a decision; 'my hand hurts, my activity isn't what I need, I'm losing rounds due to the other guy throwing more punches, I can't get enough points for a decision at this point, and my left hand isn't getting through'.

Gatti-Mayweather holds up because that was actually an extremely dominant performance; Gatti was utterly outclassed, could barely lay a glove on Floyd, and Floyd punished Gatti for every mistake he either made or thought to make.

Loma-Rigo was not such a performance
