Old Trafford can house 70,000+ and has always been touted for Khan vs Brook. That's in Manchester.

If the casuals come out for Takam and Joshua you seriously think the entire nation who either hate or love either Khan/Brook won't pay to see either win/lose? You're nuts.

Khan and Brook is STILL a 70,000+ stadium filler no matter what haters, fanboys and the Yanks may think. Especially now if this story about Khan signing with Matchroom is true. Hearn, big supporting acts, exclusive dates with most stadiums, exclusive rights with Sky, shady deal with StubHub that guarantees every fight to sellout... it's not even a question. It fills Wembley or any stadium in the country. Easy.

Besides, Oscar already worked with Khan in the UK against Hearn in the McCloskey fight.
I hadn't heard that Oscar was trying to sign Khan. But I'm glad he didn't. Khan is a has been, a nobody and he's pretty much done when it comes to Boxing. His best bet is to cash out against Brook.

Cash out with Brook? He doesn't need to cash out with anyone. He's made his fortune. He could retire now and be financially comfortable.

It's the other way around. Always has been. Always will be. Brook needs Khan more than Khan needs Brook financially.

Like I said if this news is true, which it may well not be, it just means that Brook is the end game and Khan has already secured financial incentives to sign with Hearn.

I still don't think it's true because I think Matchroom will announce Joshua vs Parker tomorrow and I feel Khan has inside knowledge on this so he's basically timed his announcement to perfection.

If it is Matchroom then it is, as Khan promised, a shock.

Its true for sure. Apparently came down to Matchroom and ITV. Higgins said he had meetings today with Hearn, though not signed yet, meeting again Thursday.

Joshua just announced on Twitter there is news coming tomorrow too.

See. It's all starting to make sense now. Either Joshua vs Parker is going to be announced and Khan is doing the intelligent thing and piggybacking off of that or Khan has actually signed with Hearn.

It can't be a coincidence that all the parties above are announcing something on the same day.

I think Khans going to be chief support. Hes been saying for a while his next fight will be at the end of March. I couldnt work it out as theres 2 Matchroom cards at the end of March and I would never have believed he would sign with Hearn.

That is how the British are they support or hate someone enough to financially support them as long as it gives them the desired satisfaction. That's why all the money is in the UK. The transition from diehard football fans to casual boxing fans is an easy one for most of them. They fill out stadiums on a regular basis for far smaller events.

This is also why the Yanks envy the British support. You can be just a decent boxer and still make a decent living here as long as you don't throw it all away before your career has even began i.e O'Hara Davies.

Also what does it matter if someone has lost or been knocked out or if a title is on the line or not? Not everyone can be a Mayweather/Calzaghe etc.

They're not paying to watch a "Loser's Final". They're paying to watch a grudge match. The British love grudge matches.

See Kaylor vs Christie, Lewis vs Bruno, Froch vs Groves which wasn't even much of a grudge, Degale vs Groves, Haye vs Chisora, Haye vs Audley, Bellew vs Haye, Quigg vs Frampton, Joshua vs Whyte, Whyte vs Chisora etc. Even the very small event of O'Hara Davies vs Josh Taylor was well watched and anticipated here.

Khan vs Brook is more hate filled, fuelled more than any of the above fights and has been for over a decade for us but a lifetime for them because their rivalry goes back to the amateur days when Khan was selected ahead of Brook to represent Britain at the Olympics because Brook was deemed as the lesser talent so was demoted to sparring partner. Khan qualified as the ONLY boxer from Britain. Came back with a medal. Helped bring back funding to boxing. Became poster boy. Brook became salty. Still is.

It's a bigger grudge match than Hatton vs Witter ever could have been and that never happened with Hatton being Khans position and Witter in Brooks. To understand why this is is important...Khan is from the same region as Hatton, Lancashire. Brook is from the same region as Witter, Yorkshire. Same gym as Witter with the Ingles.

There are still people around who were disappointed they never got to see Hatton vs Witter so by default all of those folks automatically want Khan vs Brook to happen on top of all the casuals, hardcore boxing fans, haters alike...

You're seriously underestimating what sporting rivalries and personal rivalries in the public domain mean to us in the UK. It's huge and the Americans just can't fathom why it is which is funny.
