Floyd promotion team would have taken off even more if he signed a lot of people he said he was gonna sign..he didn't offer them a contract.. most in the Rio Olympics..but he's doing a good job with the guys he has i guess..getting an unknown davis at the time..a world title fight in his 18th fight..too bad lil kid got money and now acting like his older brother adrien broner

He's right & he's doing exactly what he's saying. Not at all surprised by the J'Leon turning down DeGale opportunity. J'Leon don't got the heart for this business. He needs to get out of it ASAP. But anyone who's not down with a big promotion already, can throw those fists & ain't scared of succeeding or failing (like J'Leon) should get with Floyd cuz you'll find your ceiling or become a name on the way.

Badou Jack has went from nobody to a guy on the verge of the top ten P4P by many P4P dorks. Tank was fighting on club shows & now is being talked about as one of those "future of boxing" type guys (when he's serious, he's got some bad PR going on right now obviously). And Gavril came straight outta no f#cking where to get a title fight & give a cat who I think could become the biggest thing in boxing his biggest challenge so far in a split decision L.

All of these guys woulda gotten NO WHERE with GBP, Top Rank or anyone else cuz those guys woulda never gotten them the big fights they got to prove themselves.

Love or hate Floyd a fighter, but if you are being fair you gotta be enjoying the way he's running his promotion, since they got serious in the last few years, & putting his guys into the fire to see what they are capable of.

Floyd should focus a ton on prospects, top rank and Schaefer did a GREAT job of signing prospects and they will carry the companies to a certain extent.

I think Mayweather is doing a helluva job as a promoter but don't act like Golden Boy and Top Rank aren't doing anything for their fighters... Your just a straight ****ing hater!

Its hard to tell who's disciplined outside the ring I imagine. Lotsa great athletes in every sport have been f#ckups outside of their sport. I think its a learning process, even for Floyd.

And I think a lot of signing guys is having a history & as I mentioned in the 10 year Mayweather Promotion thread while they've been in existence for 10 years they've only been promoting seriously the last 3 years or so & don't have much of a history to sell to up & coming guys like most of the other promotions we talk about.

I bet in 2020 & 2024 MP will have enough of a history & even success to entice better prospects & maybe even the top US medalists or top foreign medalists. Personally I thought it was impressive he was even on the short list for Shakur Stevenson's services.
