I personally never considered Linares a good fighter. Been seeing him since his days of fighting in Japan. He's nothing special, neither is Easter. Easter also has no personality whatsoever.

Sucks for Robert Easter he ended up with Pbc. He would do good at Top Rank where they take bigger challenges and the fighters arent scared. Easter vs loma would be a good fight. Easter vs Beltran would be a good fight too. Instead Easter cant find any champion that wants to fight Pbc is a disgrace

Linares has a lot of grace and style in his technique, which naturally makes him look incredible against lesser competition. He's not beating guys like Garcia and Loma though and I think Easter would be a problem for Linares too. I do love watching the guy fight though.

Easter could be right about Linares as "nothing special." Casuals hardly know him until he was mentioned by Mikey Garcia, who seems to have penchant for fighting un-recognizable fighters, Zlaticanin, Rojas, and now Lipinets. Which reminds me of Andrade going after Culcay's title. Seems a path of least resistance thing.
