Never really expected him to fight any other way, everyone knows when Wilder goes in for the kill he's sloppy and open to be countered, so using his height, reach and movement were always his best route to victory.

Question is can he do it? It's one thing to out point a 6'2" out of shape Stiverne while having a 6" reach advantage, it's very different to do the same with a 6'4" Ortiz who has a bigger reach than Wilder.

I think it will come down to if he can establish his jab. Ortiz uses his right hand to block an orthodox boxers jab, if he can take away Wilder's jab then Wilder will struggle like in the Washington fight and might have to take more risks to win rounds and in that scenario Ortiz's chances improve to land that big counter.

honestly I cant remember reading such a sht on an article here regarding Ortiz fight with scott. the truth is scott wasnt in there to fight and ran away at full Speed for the whole 12 rounds. so anybody would look dumb in such a fight. scott was so bad that he isnt even worth to mention him.

Angle 1: Ortiz has to submit piss between rounds 3-4; 7-8; 11-12
Angle 2: Tony Weeks is the referee
Angle 3: Wilder gets adrenaline injection after round 4
Angle 4: Adeilaide Byrd Scores the fight
Angle 5: TUEs approved by VADA for Wilder

I personally see Wilder winning the fight, and again getting no respect for it. Why?

Here's a reenactment of the weigh in when Ortiz mentions he's 37

Wilder has the more EFFECTIVE reach. Ask yourself, "who is more likely to want to win a jab war?" Clearly Wilder because his stance and posture are such that he gets a lot of reach and can keep opponents at a distance.

Ortiz is a counter puncher. He fights more squared and stays almost coiled so he can strike when the opening is there. Hands are close to the chin, not pre-extended like Deontay.

This stuff isn't hard to see. You just gotta watch the fights and not think you can look at it on paper.
I think that battle of Jabs will define whos the better man. This fight will be good as it last. Rooting for Wilder here.

                      You're tripping.

Another Cuban will let you know.
                      Lubin and now Pops Ortiz.

                      Dude's legs are GONE.

He get blasted out early and easily.
