No, you're wrong. The WBA is trying to eliminate their interim titles and super titles. They are not eliminating their world titles.
Yeah, because they are trying to have one champion per division, right? So, who is it? Thurman or the bogus, worthless, vacated regular belt?

WBC calls it interim, basically the equivalent of the WBA mini/regular champion. You mean they have super/regular/interim champions? 3 per division? I thought it was only two, like the WBC. Then it's even worse. Damn.

Who is the real WBA welter champion?

Peterson is 2 years inactive, and now way passed his prime. I don't give Spence much credit.

It will take another year or two before they have one champion per division. They started with three.

WBC calls it interim, basically the equivalent of the WBA mini/regular champion.
False. WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO all have interim champions from time to time. The problem is that the WBA was crowning interim champions, at all times, in every division. The WBC has diamond champions and the WBO has super champions from time to time. The problem is that the WBA was crowning super champions, at all times, in every division.

Correct. It's worse than you thought. But they're slowly fixing it now.

You want him to jump 2 weight classes and fight title holders there? He's not even defended his current title or even unified there. I'm not big on this fight but you're talking about some crazy leaps there. Give the kid a little time to be a WW champ.
Dude must be a big time Thurman fan....

I don't wanna what happened to GGG happen to Spence, for lack of comp at his division. That's why many, including myself, were pushing GGG to fight Ward.

Well, I think Spence is that good. He'll be 30 before we know it.
Spence has some serious fighters at ww. Bud is a consensus 1 or 2 p4p, and if No Smoke is not top 10 p4p, he's as close to it as anybody.

Only somebody, who's a fan of somebody on Spence's radar, wants him to skip over the ww division.

Tf is wrong with you dudes?

              Seriously.

It's not even comparable to golovkin. Until charlo and canelo moved up, there was NOBODY in the mw division anybody cared about Golovkin fighting, except jacobs....who isn't on anybody's p4p list.

He is a top 10 world rated welterweight so he has a chance to win but I give him a very small chance to win. He almost beat Danny Garcia and he beat Khan but Matthysse KOed him quickly. Spence is the best welterweight in the world in my opinion and I expect him to KO Peterson without any trouble.

A slim chance based on factors such as Peterson being too inactive, not yet a true 147 guy, certainly no longer in his prime, etc.
                  But what can fans do?
It's the only fight Showtime can afford to make.
Like Espinoza said, Peterson is the only one who had the courage to step up.
Basically throwing the other PBC fighters under the bus.

Peterson is a solid warrior, but he's got little chance. Spence just keeps coming, and he's very hard to discourage.
