This isn’t like GBP building Abner Mares from his first fight or TR building Brandon Rios and Mikey Garcia, Lomachenko, etc
I think people think too highly of "building" a fighter. If you think its the best thing a promoter can do fair enough, but I'd disagree. The best thing a promoter can do for me is put on competitive shows.

Good promotor can do wonders for your career and bad ones can wreck it.

Darnell Boone had a TERRIBLE promotor that just threw him to the wolves. I meam you dont drop Kovalov and Ward if you dont have talent.

Salido also comes to mind early in his career.

Well yea. A good or bad manager, trainer or even wife or gf can rise or lower your ceiling too I'd argue. There all sorts of variables in play for a professional athlete like that.

I find it funny he called out Arum the other day saying he underpays his fighters, yet Mayweather is the king of ripping his fighters off. If Degale Jack was such a big event why did he only pay Jack 700k? Even guys like Mike Alvarado got paid more when they headlined an Hbo fight

Without McGregor nobody would even have given a fk about a Mayweather's Promotions card...

Nobody on this site even knew that Mayweather Promotions was around for 10 years LOL

Lol... Mayweather Promotions built Ishe more than the examples you have given. Ishe was a no hoper who couldn’t let his hands go. Stayed defensive. He became more offensive and became a new champion. Weak or not K9 was a champion. He was a tougher fight than anything Brandon took on to be champion. Who would have known him with out the Alvarado series and a series of gift decisions? Neither Rios or Alvarado were really world beaters. Mikey Garcia is taking off as an “independent” after leaving the promotion of Top Rank. As Floyd did and Oscar. What’s brilliant about In House fights? It killed Top Rank. GBP only has Canelo after all those years, why...Richard Schaefer. Abner made a lot more money under Al Haymon and had some of the highest ratings in the new era of free tv boxing. Higher than Bob’s ESPN boxing. Lomachenko wasn’t even in the spotlight until The ESPN deal? Should have been an easy set up had the In House fights not kept him from fighting top guys. What was so Clever about his promotion? He is a genius that simply got out there and performed. Devontae was a train wreck mentally and is now a star. Badou is boxings most improved fighter and if he beats Stevenson he will be the new man at 175.

Yeah because nobody measures the strength of promotion on time served. Couldn’t tell you how long any major promotor has been in existence. Just know specific fighters they promoted and the eras the were in. What’s your point?
