Yup the guy hasn't lost a fight since he was 12 or 13

And from that point he won a gold medal

Cleared out his division

Beat a bunch of current / former Champions and HOFers in their prime

Then Went up in weight and fought and beat the guy twice who was on every P4P list who held 3 straps in his prime and everyone thought was the man in the division

If anything Ward should be more hyped then he is

I've followed and been a Ward fan for a long while, but I've never hyped him or made many threads about him.

Now, reading your post, I agree he hasn't been hyped as much as was warranted. If anything, he's very underrated. I was so impressed with how he overcame the adversity of that KD in fight one against Kovalev.

Ward should be thankful for the white privilege throught his career. If he wasnt irish he wouldnt be blesses with the skills or got the gift decision against kovalev. If he was black he probably would of gotten arrested

There seems to be a huge dislike for talented, successful athletes, It is like some posters hate them so much because they can never get to that level in their lives. So they hold on to mediocre athletes that they can relate with because they are subpar. When their subpar fighter loses what do they do??? MAKE EXCUSES!!! slam the elite fighter and deminish the win by forming their own reality by repeating the same **** over and over and over again.

Its always the highly ranked, "dirty" fighters that get this kind of heat. Guys that use dirty tactics to win fights (like BHop, Ward) or boring styles that arguably abuse movement/avoiding the fight (Lara, Rigo), and of course the loudmouths (Ali back in the day, Toney). These are all great fighters, but don't play that they're clean, humble fighters. They put targets on their back with their style and attitude, why you surprised they get hated on? FFS fighters get hated on because they have annoying fans.

The guy fought some bums when he was at his peak, lost to Kovalev (all the grown ups on here know and acknowledge that right?), and punched Kov in the sack in the second fight.

He's a decent fighter, but very over valued and bends the rules with his hugging and stuff.

Woulda loved to Andre Dirrell dismantle him in the super six.
Feel sorry for Dirrell, robbed against Froch and with all his talent never really got his career off the ground.
