Plus how is he even going to get into boxing? Its a lot harder than he thinks its going to be. Roc Nation spent crazy money for Ward, Cotto, Rigo and others and are much worse off than when they started and seem to be failing. 50 cent signed a bunch of fighters and couldn't get them fights. Funny thing is Bob Arum was one of the only ones that worked with 50. Partnering with Haymon would be the best thing for White but Haymon works with Showtime and has a handful of promoters for Pbc fights including Richard Shaefer that would go out of business if Haymon did that. Plus that would mean his fighters signing to a promoter which goes against everything Pbc has been about. I honestly think White knows he would probably fail in boxing but wants leverage with Fox

This is exactly spot on. Dana White has no real clue about what the UFC is potentially getting into - matchmaking in the UFC is easy, all those fighters are contracted centrally, they just have to decide who fights who.

Boxing is completely different - who he wants his guys to fight doesn't ****ing matter unless there's the other party signing off on it. The UFC needs to monopolize the industry just to "maintain" working relationships with other organizations (and by maintain, I mean strong-arm or simply not do business with). How they plan on cracking the boxing dynamic is a mystery.

UFC will get a big TV deal, it's just a question of how big. They want 400 million, Fox offered 200 million, maybe someone comes along and snags them for 300 million. But even if UFC is able to only get a 10% bump to add boxing, so $30 million, they'd have one of the largest boxing budgets already, way bigger than HBO. And those are very conservative numbers. If UFC can get 20% bump for boxing, that's $60 million and enough to get Al's stable exclusively.

Like I said earlier Haymon already uses a bunch of promoters including Mayweather promotions and Ringstar which is Richard Shaeffer who is solely responsible for Haymon having Pbc to begin with. If he brought his fighters to Ufc he would ruin relationships with all those promoters who would probably go out of business as well as Showtime who wouldnt have boxing anymore. Unless the promoters got a good cut of the action too, but I dont see White wanting to split promoter fees as well as paying a much larger percentage of profits to fighters than hes used to in the Ufc.

Plus there would most likely be huge backlash from Pbc fighters who are used to taking a bunch of cherry picks, they wouldnt have this luxiry at all with Ufc as their promoter. This alone I think is enough to stop a deal happening between Ufc and Haymon

I get his point. It is a federal crime to lie about revenue figures for a publicly traded company. Lend credibility to the article, it would have been better if the author has gotten a quote from someone in the federal trade commission or a business lawyer

The whole reason fighters sign with Haymon is because they dont like having a promoter telling them who they have to fight. White would make them all fight tough fights theres no way this ever happens
