we will see how good bivol looks...def looking forward to it

but thats not relevant....what have any of those guys done so far to scare ward or deserve a fight with him?
I never heard anyone say ward was scared of Bivol, I heard beterbiev but I think ward could beat him. Who ward really is scared of is the guy who broke his jaw in creed he called him out along with AJ then when they entertained it he retired on the spot

      how about "generational great"?
He's certainly a generational level talent, and I've no problem with describing him as 'great' but for whatever reason he just never inspired the kind of following or excitement or controversy or whatever that made people passionate about him.

Has GGG already ducked Charlo or should he fight both on the same night? I think that's an unfair standard and not a full telling of what's happening. Ward was young enough and had no fights lined up and decided to walk away. If GGG fought Charlo next you'd claim he's ducking Canelo too.

Now if GGG beats Canelo and retires at age 36 then you can make a case or if he beats Canelo and then Saunders at age 37, surely? But let's be honest you would claim he is ducking Charlo 1000% rather than respect his decision to retire in his late 30's.

Some people just have their minds set and will always spin it how they want to and you are no different than the one's you are pointing the finger at in that regard.
no one is "worked up" lol...i always love those claims...im not worked up...im not angry...my blood pressure is the same....

its funny though....back before ggg fought jacobs and/or canelo people were telling his fans that his resume/legacy is garbage and those guys would say "well hes a young 34/35 and hasnt taken much punishment...lets see what he does before we give him any gruff he has plenty of time left".......

yet they are already insinuating that canelo waited him out to get old and is doing the same again

lets face....both sides of the coin will always spin certain things...but golovkin fans are by far the worst and most extreme case

and FYI...i wasnt insinuating that golovkin had to fight charlo......but there was a time not long ago when it looked like canelo/ggg might not happen next...remember? when saunders and lemiuex were lined up and people thought if lemiuex won that canelo would try to fight him next? remember? ok....so then people said well golovkin should go defend his belt and the golovkin fans went in a tissy and said charlo aint done anything and dont deserve that fight......thats all really.....im not mad or demanding he fight charlo .....you just kind of wanted to think thats what im saying so you could lump me in and call me "just as bad as those guys"

take a look around...look harder...its on the board...people have said those big 3 EE LHW scared ward into retiring....so take a look before you say "ive never heard anyone say it"

gvozdyk-30 year old..holds some NABUHFQVCHSN belt nobody cares about 14 pro fights

but these guys are supposed to scaring a 33 year old with 32 pro wins across two divisions...winner of the prestigious super 6 tourney(as a the biggest underdog)at SMW...went up to 175 and beat a fellow top 5 p4p fighter who was unbeaten......scaring him into retirement? LOL

but when jermall charlo is the #1 contender for a golovkin belt it becomes "oh man what has charlo ever done to deserve a crack at the belt....hes done nothing...he doesnt deserve it....meanwhile loma is getting belts at fight 3 lol

ok guys...so aside from skin color.....using logic and factual boxing information....what have the big 3 EE LHWs done to deserve a shot at ward that wouldnt warrant charlo getting a shot at golovkin?
It's the usual thing where people are desperate to find someone to beat a good fighter. We saw the same thing with Floyd Mayweather where everyone was supposed to beat him but you saw what he did to all the guys. Same thing would happen to these new guys with Ward. He would just dominate the guys but still people will come up with theories.

I am among those hyping Bivol but no way in a million years I would think Ward ran scared from him or any other fighter.

Ward moved up to LHW to face a killer with devastating power in both hands, he did it twice. With that kind of achievement or balls - whatever you want to call it, I don't see how he can be scared of any fighter.

Forget Bivol, Ward talked about fighting Joshua who is a hard punching HW and people said he should go for it, dare to be great... So there will always be someone his haters will say he is scared of up or down the weight classes.

Some even said he left SMW cuz of GGG who is a middle weight champion. Smh.

****** haters will always find something to say, there will always be a new boogeyman.

I thought he looked basic against scrubs that shouldn't even be considered top twenty fighters. If he beats Barrera I will consider it an upset.

To clarify, I think right now Bivol is an inexperienced head hunter and if his first fight against someone with a pulse is Barrera or Jack like they were talking about last year, I think he loses. It's just too early

Ha ha - I was kinda thinking of the out of ring type of controversy that might have won him admirers or haters... in short the guy just isn't the sort of polarising figure that boxing fans seem to love to hate. Hell, he's the kind of guy I'd be happy for my daughter to marry... that just ain't what grabs boxing fans for some reason.

In terms of in ring controversy... ? Ha well, yeah, dude has his fair share and more, but honestly that ****'ll be forgotten before long. What'll mainly hurt his legacy will be the failure to capitalise on his momentum from the S6 and the the long hiatus as he tried to seperate from Goosen, I guess. And while retiring on top and set up for life might be the smart way to go, there will always be questions about what might have been... but good luck to the guy I say.

its funny...ward is about as clean as they come...gives good interviews....usually very respectful when treated or talked about with respect....good family man...like you said about as boring as they come out of the ring

so when ward made a few comments about him feeling underappreciated, in general, in boxing...it was funny to see a guy like chris mannix write a scathing article and scolding andre and telling him why he was underappreciated

if andre had gone the floyd route and cooned himself the same guys would be writing how "ward is a tired act that weve already seen before...unorginal and just a bad human being obssessed with the material/wrong things"

ward just wanted to be appreciated for being a winner and a good guy
