just because it's in their rules doesn't make it right. And they clearly slide the word "may" in there which means in arbitrary who they do it to. Had rigo been a money maker the likes of mayweather or Canelo, they never would've done it.http://www.wbaboxing.com/wp-content/...ia-6-11-15.pdf
15. Non-Title Bout Loss. A loss in any bout, including a non-title or non-sanctioned
bout, may result in loss of the boxer’s title or contender status unless provided otherwise by the

it's a problem because these are parts of the reasons why boxing is so corrupt. Sanctioning bodies operate however they see fit & often do what's best for their pockets and not the sport. There's no consistency in who they allow to keep titles and who can't. Losing a fight at a different weight class should have 0 impact on whether you remain champion in your original weight class.Comment

They do what the major promoters want them to do. They exist as agents for the major promoters.Comment

you have four champions per division. pick whichever one you think has the most credibility.
this is show business. people don't enjoy watching rigo fight. if people don't want to see you, you're going to have this problem.Comment

the point is that it's still wrong. I understand that there's a business aspect to it but it's still wrong. However, despite the fact that rigo gets a bad rap from some, he's still the biggest name at 122 and there's a reason why his fight with Loma sold out very quickly & it wasn't just due to Loma. I was at the fight & there was a real buzz to the event that doesn't happen all the time.Comment
