Comments Thread For: Zolani Tete vs. Omar Narvaez Feb 10 Undercard Update

Frank Warren enjoyed a successful year in boxing in 2017, having linked up with BT Sport. The Hall Of Fame promoter, who heads up Queensberry Promotions, put on 11 shows on the channel last year. And the man who now looks after Carl Frampton, Lee Selby, Josh Warrington and many more to boot, has wasted no time in confirming the details of his first big show of the New Year.

Any chance of Joe Pigford challenging Asinia Byfield for the Southern Area title on the undercard?

That’d be a great fight, Byfield is aligned with Cyclone Promotions now so I doubt it happens, I like that Pigford, I watched him live on the Walsh vs Tank undercard, he was in a really good fight with another undefeated prospect- Aaron Morgan

Looks like Narvaez hasn't had enough of being disintegrated in a few rounds yet. First Inoue, now Tete.

Tete is going to look like he's mugging an elderly midget vs Narvaez. Omar was a stud at flyweight but he has no business being anybody's bantamweight mandatory at 42.

There's some fantastic domestic fights out there right now. How about Joe Cordinea Vs Gavin Gwenn for the laters Welsh title?

tete vs naoya inoue or other champions like ryan burnett or rey vargas is the only meaningful fight in this division

I’ve not seen much of Gwynne tbh, I know he’s an undefeated prospect but never watched him fight, Hearn will probably keep feeding these Eastern European journeymen to Cordina, I’d like to see Cordina step up ASAP.
And yeah there’s loads out there, at least you’ve got Warren and McGuigan and even Hobson putting a few of those type of fights on TV now. I’d love to see a Goodwin or Stefy Bull get some sort of TV platform they have loads of competitive fights on their shows even if they’re not at the highest of levels.

Rey Vargas is the 122 lb champ, the WBC champ at 118 is Luis Nery. Burnett/his team have blatantly ducked Tete which is a shame cause that’s a good fight. Hopefully Inoue goes the WBO route first but I think he’ll want to avenge Yamanaka’s loss to Nery if/when he loses the rematch. 118 is looking pretty strong IMO
