When is Beterbiev going to get in the mix? The fact that him and Stevenson haven’t fought in Montreal is mind-blowing. Hope Badou Jack can save that strap from its current hostage situation. Adonis has been wasting boxing’s time for way too long.

Isn't that one of the reasons why Beterbiev split with his promoter, who also promotes Stevenson?

True. Barrera is ambitious and willing to take risks to make something of his career.

I believe so, along with shorting him on money and opportunities. The smoking gun is in November Beterbiev called him out and according to RING this was the reply from Stevenson’s management team...

“Look, it’s not in the plans to have Artur fight Adonis. They are on the same team and they’re working in the same gym. So that’s not in the plans,” said Michel. “But Artur will be ready to fight anybody but Stevenson right now. If there were a title opportunity against anybody – Hopkins, Kovalev, Braehmer, whoever – I would say yes in a minute.”

Can’t believe he brought up Hopkins!!!

I suppose running and quitting is part of the culture, what with trying to leave / escape / RUN from Cuba to make it to the USA.
              tsk tsk

Please tell us how fighting Bivol OR Kovalev is ducking. And with Ortiz.... he's been cleared and will fight Wilder soon. We're waiting. And we can wait til your drugs wear off, if that ever happens. LOL

If more guys were willing to fight top comp one after another boxing would be MUCH better off.

I think Boxing is a business and it's important to understand that while exciting fights are great for the sport, they also shorten careers (or even lives)

The sport is so absolute you can actually pinpoint to a time in a bout where guys got ruined

So knowing that, extreme caution must be exercised. It is the only accepted truly absolute sport. You have MMA and other contact sports but you don't see how guys are losing pieces of themselves after hard championship rounds in bouts.

Also, that said, sacrificing your life in a bout is essential to pass on warrior teachings, sometimes. these reasons are why gatti got off the stool after round nine. There is no end, just life experiences and passing on of teachings, this is what you must cherish.

So when I see a man go out on his shield, I'm thinking he's taking the hits for future generations not going soft.
