GGG is odds on favorite to land the Gingerbread payday. He gets to make like $10 mil fighting a guy who is just going to hang on the ropes and not come forward or try to get passed a jab. Canelo fights on May 5th and Sept 16th! Everyone knows this. No one has a gun to GGG head, he could of fought in Dec if he really wanted too.
I think the real question that needs to be asked is why is GGG&team doing everything that GBP&Canelo is telling him to?? I'm a huge fan of GGG in the ring but the moves he's made outside the ring " Acting like he's Mexican when he's not , going to Mexico instead of his own country to help the needy and not holding it down for his own people " I do believe GBP made him do 90% of what I just listed to hype up the rematch and for this reason I feel like GGG is not being true to himself nor his nationality/ Heritage.

IIRC Mexico had just experienced some kind of natural disaster like an earthquake I believe, which meant people in certain areas in Mexico were in dire need of any assistance they could get. Just because the dude went down and donated his time and energy to help the people down there, that doesn’t mean it’s a slight to his country. He has done a lot of stuff in his country for his people as well. I’ve read about a few different things, seen some stuff on the 24/7 HBO show about some youth center or something he built in his hometown. We really have no idea of all the stuff he has done because there isn’t a journalist or camera crew there to document everything everytime he goes there.

Canelo surely feels battle tested now, it's more to Alvarez's advantage and confidence fighting any other power hitter at 160 now that he took Lil'G's wrath and missed attempts. Jacobs and Murata are perhaps the hardest hitters at 160 now after Golovkin.

The Mexican keeps getting better, that's the defacto of becoming great when confidence boosting peaks. Of course Nelo will get his Frazier, but when?

I mean, Golovkin was groomed for how many years at 160 to feel the need to move up to 168? Geale, Sturm, Abraham, Eubank Jr... these guys been gone up... something or somebody was at 168 that Golovkin didn't feel the confidence to ever move up with a strategic narrative to get all the belts, instead he chased Alvarez after being handed the strap...while Abel and Loeffler just coasted to never hype the fight against BJS, regardless if BJS didn't call out Golovkin.

This is why, Nelo is a boss!
