well as of right now we have no idea who this other guy is but we do know that Vinnie is an alcoholic with multiple previous arrests. An old washed up drunk who is unlikely to have 16k just laying around to steal. So knowing nothing about the guy he beat up, chances says Vinnie's story is bullchit and he wasnt being robbed but got into a drunken argument that escalated.

Also the article says he left before the cops got there with other witnesses still around the house. who leaves their own house to avoid the cops when they were supposedly the victim of a robbery and done nothing wrong?
