Stephen Espinoza envisions Mikey Garcia-Sergey Lipinets unfolding as a much more competitive fight than some might anticipate. Espinoza noticed a very motivated Lipinets during recent press conferences for their February 10 bout and is looking forward to seeing how Garcia performs against a heavy-handed, 140-pound opponent Espinoza thinks is being underestimated. Mikey resume is solid. Garcia vs Guerrero was a solid matchup. This is a good fight for his first match at 140

Was disappointed Mikey didn't choose someone else but for sure this is still a good fight. One issue is that Lipinets is coming off a not-so-great performance, but if you look at his earlier fights he's been impressive, it's just that it wasn't against top opposition. But there was potential on show. Maybe he can make it a close fight. I disagree with Espinosa describes him, he's not really an all-out aggressive fighter, he can box and might try to get the better on the outside rather than full stream ahead.

i dont see how a resume like mikey's can get called solid while the resume of adonis stevenson gets labeled as the worst championship run in history...

Look why don't you make a thread distinguishing between Mikey and Adonis.
You may have a point, as to which one is worse.
Mikey may be worse, imho, because he's making way too much noise about fighting top fighters, yet fights nobodies.
