Comments Thread For: Moore: Golovkin is a Fight That Billy Joe Saunders Can Win

Retired fighter Jamie Moore, who is now a rising trainer with a stable that includes Carl Frampton, says WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (26-0, 12 KOs) is fully capable of defeating IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC world champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs). Moore liked what he saw earlier this month, when Saunders traveled over to Canada and dominated former IBF champion David Lemieux over twelve rounds of one-sided action.

Fuck no Saunders ain't beating Golovkin, Jacobs, Jermall or Canelo. Golovkin won every round against Lemieux and stopped him. Billy has a good resume but he's a cut below the top middleweights.

If Canelo could stand up to lil g's overrated power and outbox him, Saunders a more natural middleweight probably could too.

I'd pick Andrade and probably Derevyanchenko over Saunders, too.

Saunders probably takes that fight with Walter Kautondokwa next like Warren wants him to

Totally disagree! Ill give him a 50/50 in all those fights if he stays dedicated. Plus he's not a Small MW either and has good movement. Like to see him sit on his punches but he could frustrate them all. My opinion..

very disappointing to read this. Still can't believe there are doubters. Charlo is a nobody at 160. Billy has 2 amazing performances against top middleweights and still he's no good in some fans eyes. Smh.

I like Billy Joe over Canelo and Triple G. He will box circles around both those slow feet fighters, Canelo already knows, he got beat by Mayweather and Lara (Robbery)
