I voted for Loma vs Rigo for 2 reasons.

    1. A lot of people gave Rigo a chance and a lot of people were calling it a 50/50 fight going in. A lot of people even said Rigo would win.

    2. This fight had much more significance behind it. Therefore, it's a better win.

marquez ended up doing some big things at 147.

rigo will never do big things at 130.

Both great wins but the decider for me was that JMM is a lot better than Rigo, way better. JMM would be happy to go toe to toe with Lomo while Rigo quit fighting long before he officially quit, there is no quit in Marquez.

Rigos reputation folded like a deck of cards once you quit like that on the first real test of greatness, JMM is 100% battle proven against the greatest of this era, beating him is a better win because Floyd won with same total dominance as Lomo did, but he did it against a much better fighter.

And the actual fight weights were closer with FM v JMM than Lomo vs Rigo.

                  Easily it's Floyd beating Marquez

Marquez is a first ballot HOFer, Is Rigo ?

The age gap wasn't as wide, Marquez was still beating elite competition before and after the Mayweather fight. I doubt Rigo will beat elites going forward and unfortunately because of politics Rigos last great win was Donaire

The age gap was 4-5 years, Rigo / Loma was at least 8 years difference but because he's Cuban who knows how old Rigo really is could easily be over a 10 year gap

Don't know how any reasonable fan could think otherwise

The important thing is Marquez was a throwaway win for Floyd, while Rigo is Loma's best. That speaks volumes.
