Who's saying Marquez wasn't at a disadvantage? But Rigo was if anything at a bigger disadvantage. Lets not forget Mayweather was also coming off a 2 year lay off. Rigo had only boxed 3 rounds in 2 years also.

Mayweather fans just want fighters to be held to the same standard. If Mayweather get little to no credit for JMM, then Loma shouldn't either. That's fair.
He never beat a great fighter in their prime or near their prime. That's a fact.

Also, no. Mayweather fans have different rules for different fights and fighters.

The fighters he fought were viewed among the best in the entire sport when he beat them. That's a fact.

Great fighters in their prime aren't so easy to come by. The one that was ran away from a drug test and then made excuses about outdoor arenas and cuts. FACTs.

I'll tell you something else which will be a fact also. Lomachenko won't achieve half of what Mayweather has.

So you agree that his amateur record should be taking into account when we talk about his greatness?

It already is isn't it? One of the perks was him getting fast tracked to a world title shot, which he lost.

Can't really say that it's too early to tell. If he beats one great fighter in his prime or becomes an undisputed or even majority title holder in even one division that's a few things he will have over Floyd. Mayweather was a great fighter and Lomachenko is on the way. I don't really get into that "My favorite fighter is better than your boo hoo" talk. Floyd fans do it for some reason and the majority have gone away from being Boxing fans. Larry, for example cries if any fighter is praised and starts a ridiculous thread comparing any fight to his crush. He even tried to glorify a child ******or on a day of shame for Baldomir in a bizarre rant designed to elevate Floyd. He's not the only one either.

Who are the 8 and was that consensus? I hope your not counting Judah as the Rings ratings used to he 3-4 months back so they still listed Judah was the champion. Ring broke their own rules keeping Mosley ranked he hadn't fought in 16 months. Marquez and Pacquaio were the only two consensus ranked guys on all lists and obviously Pacquaio was done by then and obviously we've touched on the Marquez fight.

Good, then you see already why he the number 1 fighter in the world today and will go on to be the GOAT.

Not even SRR had an amateur record of 396-1

                  Amateur boxing is point fighting.

Sugar Ray Robinson won 174 pro fights which is way more impressive.

Robbie seemed to think it mattered when taking into the account of the experience of Lomo and Fraud at that time in their careers.

                    Does it matter or not?

Robinson fought a lot of tomato cans as well.

                      An extremely padded record.
