    Meh.

Both opponents were no hopers. Its a wash regardless.

    BUT...

Floyd performed better then Vasyl did and I got JMM ranked higher all time then I got Rigo so...

I think they were about equal. Total domination of a good smaller fighter. I gave my vote to Mayweather because he beat a good smaller boxer who was trying his best to win but couldn't do it. Rigo didn't try to win and then he quit.

how did floyd perform better? lomachenko was facing the much more diffiucult slick style matchup with blazing hand speed and great defense and he barely got hit in the fight. floyd was facing a counterpuncher who was willing to take one to give one but that style obv didnt work against someone much bigger. and it went to decision while loma stopped his opponent. really strange how some people think

rigo gave up trying to win. its a different thing. he tried in the beginning but then realized his entire life of dedication and training was not enough to compete with his opponent. marquez kept trying cause he knew floyd was just pot shotting and he might be able to get him.

            I agree.

            Rigo DID try to win.

It just wasn't working and so he quit.

I'm very confident in saying JMM would have never quit the way Rigo did...

Both wins are pretty similar...beat guys they should have beaten, and beat them convincingly

Loma's win was much more impressive. He made weight like a professional and his opponent didn't drink piss in the lead up.

Loma made the 130 pound limit. Floyd did not.

Marquez had never fought above 135. He jumped 12 pounds to fight Floyd.

Rigo had never fought above 122. He jumped 8 pounds to face Loma.

Floyd easily beat Marquez, dropping him en route to a UD.

Loma made Rigo quit after six, winning every round except for possibly the first.

How can Loma's NOT be more impressive, given the similarities?
Floyd was coming off a 2yr layoff. Loma was not. But Rigo was inactive.
With that being said, Rigo is way better than JMM. Floyd vs JMM is not comparible to Rigo vs Loma as far as skillset match up.

Different things to consider. Floyd was at a disadvantage. I give him credit for being inactive and looking so amazing.

I give Loma credit for facing a phenomenal opponent. Both fights are about equal because of these things.

I hold Marquez in much higher esteem than Rigo based on his career accomplishments. True, Mayweather did not make the agreed upon catchweight. But given how few punches Marquez landed I don't know if weighing 160 lbs that night would've helped.

Floyd wasn't p4p. He was coming off from retirement. Rigo and Loma were active and ranked as was Marquez...

                      Floyd is a different alien
