whats ****** about saying floyd cherry picked? its essentially proven. just go to the sharmba mitchell thread. lets aim high for crawford and hope he doesnt turn into another floyd. you know how wealth and power make people soft. if crawford starts taking easier fights for less money like floyd i will be there dont you worry. i have no allegiance to him. just because i think he would win doesnt mean he does.

Corrales, Castillo, Judah, Marquez, Oscar, Cotto, Canelo, Mosley, Pacquiao.

Do you think Crawford goes through that entire list without a blemish?

Like I said, Crawford is a hell of a fighter, and the fight would be close but Mayweather is the best fighter he would've faced.

I agree with everything you said about Crawford's talent, but do you really think he would have an easy fight against Mayweather? Or is this is your usual Mayweather Derangement Syndrome?

Sigh..... A fantastic headline, with a fight that has "classic" all over it, and we go down rabbit trails about Mayweather. It just hurts sometimes.

147 is just loaded. There are three legit P4P top 10 fighters in it (Crawford, Thurmond, Spence) and just a depth of talent. We need to see Crawford fight at this weight first, just to see how his talent travels. He was not a "one punch KO" power fighter at 140. He was a "beat you down and break your body and spirit" kind of power fighter. How does that travel to 147? He is currently my favorite boxer, but Spence is a one punch will send you to sleep fighter and is so talented.

I actually feel Spence may end up being the last man standing. But Crawford is so mentally tough, so fundamentally sound, and so focused that someone needs to beat him. He will not make mistakes.

don't forget genaro hernandez and angel manfredy or Gatti. Floyd was not the fav to beat chico corrales and a lot picked gatti to beat Floyd but Floyd shut him down in spectacular fashion. the thing about Floyd is he takes away the opponents best offensive weapon. people said he was scared of hatton and would never get in the ring with canelo. after he got schooled canelo said, I tried my best but couldn't get to him. and Floyd wanted to fight Oscar, shane and cotto early. but they avoided Floyd citing high risk low reward. but at least he was not digging up dudes like algieri or horn or bam bam rios. having said all that, I just don't see anyone beating spence at this stage. I love Crawford, but I just don't see him beating spence.

If Bob wants Crawford to become a SUPER star, he'll have to find a way to work with Showtime. The WBO 147lb. division is WAY to thin! Crawford needs fights with Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter, Spence Jr., and Thurman!

Crawford got a ways to go to compare to Mayweather. Idongo, Diaz,Molina, Postol, Lundy, small Gamboa, Burns-these are not potential hall of fame boxers like Mayweather beat. Mayweather beat a lot of bigger guys-cotto, De la hoya, Canelo, even Maidana. Crawford is excellent but needs to beat a top 10 Welterweight.
