If Inoue actually wants to start building the legacy of a SUPERSTAR (and future ATG), you don't simply abandon the chance to win and claim the very recent lineage of the #1 POUND FOR POUND FIGHTER IN THE WORLD because of a mere six month inconvenience in your schedule!

I mean, who says the #1 P4P guy will ever emerge in Inoue's division again his entire career? This could be a once in a career chance!

If I was promoting Inoue, the plan would be simple and obvious: Fight the Rungvisai-Estrada winner in June, then fight the Nery-Yamanaka winner in September, then fight Tete in December. Win those three fights, and I would make Inoue the clear favorite in all three, and Inoue is already battling Vasyl Lomachenko for the #1 pound-for-pound spot in the world by the age of 25, and poised to be the next Manny Pacquiao-level superstar in the sport if he can continue winning and jumping weight class.

But now, if he skips the Rungvisai-Estrada winner and jumps to 118 first, even if he still beats Nery and Yamanaka, it could be years before he reaches the same heights. I mean, I guess with how weak boxing is right now in terms of guys fighting each other, Inoue would already have the second or third best resumé in boxing if he beat Yamanka/Nery and Tete, even without beating the Rungvisai-Estrada winner. That's how lacking modern boxing is in good resumés, due to all the ducking and political divides. However, if Inoue actually wants to make a statement, and make his resumé undeniable to all the fans out there who either don't pay attention to smaller boxers, or hate foreign lighter skinned boxers, then the only way to do that is to actually beat either the guy who beat the #1 P4P guy, or, if Estrada is able to beat Rungvisai, then the guy who beat him.

I don't understand it. Inoue can still make the weight. It's just six more months. For the biggest superfly fight in years, and the jumping off point for both legacy and superstardom, why not wait six months and make that fight for June? I'm sure HBO would pay for that fight. And the fans really want it!
How the **** do you know he can still make weight?? Maybe he's really struggling to make weight and that's why he's moving up.... You don't know the real reason behind him moving up in weight.

narvaez was approaching 40 when he fought inoue (ancient for that weight) and lost every round to donaire a good 6 years ago. And thats inoues best win is it? Call me a hater or whatever but im just saying it how i see it, hes not beaten anyone and you guys are too easily impressed.

He has already beaten good opponents. I dont get the hate Innoe is getting lately. The guy archieved more in his 10 first fights than anyone else besides Lomachenko.
But some "fans" never get enough. He has enough time to make some big fights.
Innoes is a special talent we sould be happy to have diamonds like him in boxing.

I think Yamanaka needs to let it go, 34+ and too many wars. Inoue vs Nery would bust somebody's bubble.

For the haters and losers claiming he's ducking 115, Zolani Tete at 118 is a way tougher fight than anyone at 115...

Inoue is fast becoming one of my favorite fighters.

I could be way off, but it's hard to remember a fighter who works the body so well than Julio Cesar Chavez. I'm sure there are probably more recent fighters who did/do work the body, but it's a rare sight.

As I've already harped on about, GGG could put opponents away sooner if he focused more on a body attack.

Micky Wards famed left hook to the liver was a killer, but Inoue's punches are resounding, and he's only a super flyweight, although probably rehydrates up to super bantam in between weigh in's.

I hope he continues to utilize it, as sometimes when fighters become complacent and reliant on one-hitter quitter's, they dispense with the more difficult body work and just go head hunting.

                  Thanks, Inoue!

Stop pretending that Tete anywhere has the near talent and skills of the 115 weight
