Holm's boxing career has been massively overhyped. She never fought outside of USA, in fact she hardly ever fought outside of New Mexico. Ducked Cecilia Braekhus. She would never fight Katie Taylor even if she was still boxing.

Valentina countered her with right hand and Holly had absolutely no clue what to do and made absolutely no adjustments. Holm lost to another muay thai fighter with no ground game Germaine de Randamie. Holm also lost a round that was pretty much boxing-only to Bethe Correia who only started training MMA 5 years ago to lose weight and has no ground game. Despite this, Holm couldn't do anything against her and was very timid, only won due to a headkick and not because of boxing. Holm also arguably lost to Raquel Pennington who knocked her down and was getting the better of Holm in plenty of boxing exchanges.

So even these UFC girls have Holm's boxing figured out. This new generation of women boxers like Katie Taylor would beat her easily. Holm only looked good against Ronda who charged at her. If her opponents don't want to engage her she doesn't know how to lead and she has no jab.

U r so underestimating HH. U must be a bitter Ronda Rousey fan because Holly Holm is a beast. HH is tall, rangy, always in phenomenal shape, & has a ton of fight experience no matter how much u try to degrade it. Also with MMA gloves on HH has great pop, problem is her team has her fighting way to shy. HH has done very well putting punches together coming forward but it's just to rare. The only person that did out strike and make Holly look bad was Schevenko but again Team Holms game plan was all bad.

This is spot on.

She's been very underwhelming outside the Ronda destruction. and while i can understand playing it safe, doing so against Bethe Correia is a bad look, even if she knocked her out eventually.

Never bet on Holm in MMA. She's been a bust unless you won the lottery against Ronda.

In my view, wrestling, submission holds etc has no role in contact sports. It should remain as it was during the days of world of sport (70s/80s), entertainment only.
A 10 stone man could choke a heavyweight,bend his arm or leg etc to get a submission or roll around on the floor having a cuddle. I do see there is an art with wrestling but it’s not fighting. It’s not fighting. It’s wrestling.
A fighter could be losing in a “stand up” aka a fight and be losing but if both men ended up on the floor he may be able to choke the other guy? Don’t work does it.
It’s not right, should be separate and separated quickly and I do believe a number of titles would be changing hands for the right reasons. And the former title holders can go with the wrestling.
