Comments Thread For: Zolani Tete is Very Willing To Face Naoya Inoue

Zolani Tete says he is willing to take on unbeaten two-weight world champion Naoya Inoue should he move up in weight. Inoue defends his 115lb world title against Yoan Boyeaux this weekend in Japan, but he's reportedly planning to move up to bantamweight, where Tete holds the WBO belt.

Here's hoping Inoue can bounce back and forth between 15 and 18 (as this is the first I heard he's considering moving up). 15 is on fire right now, so it is an interesting move. As long as he stays active, because that is one thing that scares me about Inoue...

Of course he is - what does he have to lose?

He has everything to gain, and nothing to lose.

If Inoue loses, he's the shyte who got beat up by an old cvnt. If he wins, he's the shyte who beat up an old man..

        Tete wants a HBO payday..

He's confirmed his fight against Boyeaux will be his last at Super-Fly and he's moving up next

Do you even know who Tete is?

Tete is 29 and a fantastic fighter, I think he would give Inoue a real run for his money. I think you have him mixed up with someone else. Tete beats every other fighter at Bantamweight IMO.

tete is the dangerous, avoided guy at 118. hes a tough mother. tete-inoue is, in a lotta ways, a pretty even match at bantamweight.

Yeah I know exactly who he is - South African dude who was falling into obscurity until Frank Warren (I think it was Warren) signed him, and started matching him up wisely in UK.

He may be 29, but he is 39 in boxing years. He's been fighting for over a decade, and has taken L's from inferior fighters. I'm always weary about fighter's real ages from sketchy countries. Dis nucca could damn well be 39.

Bantamweight is weak as hell right now, but Yamanaka (if he doesn't retire), and Nery both easily beat him..

He gets mopped up by any legit world class fighter.

With both fighters at the peak of their shape this would become a minor classic.
