It's a catch weight fight in the MW division, it's still a MW bout, what is so hard to understand, that's why I said there is no CW division

The divisions are defined by the weight limit.

A commission/organization may sanction a bout in the middleweight division, but that has nothing to do with with the catchweight limit set.

it is far more accurate to refer to Canelo as an entitled diva who was unprofessional, and a little lame..... than it is to refer to him as a middleweight

I'm more interested in his fight at 164 with Chavez. He totally dominated him. Didn't seem to be a handicap. In fact the way he performed he looked to be more at his natural weight.

It doesn't matter what weight you CAN make, it matters what weight you weigh in at, canelo looked like death weighing in for smith, canelo fighting at 155 was a delaying tactic to avoid GGG as long as he could, Oscar knew there would be imbecile fanboys who would buy into "he's not a real MW".
