The JMW limit is 154lb, if Canelo is 155lbs, he is not a JMW.
The commission/organisation sanction the bouts for the division.
If you sign a contract for a fight and agree terms, those are the terms, no excuses.Comment

the facts are.....
* Canelo could ALWAYS make 154, OBVIOUSLY
* Canelo only fought JMW opponents
it is far more accurate to refer to Canelo as an entitled diva who was unprofessional, and a little lame..... than it is to refer to him as a middleweight
neither are entirely accurate..... but one is total bullshht, and a HUGE stretch..... particularly designed to relieve Golovkin of his "anyone from 154-168" responsibilities
either way, he was clearly not a genuine middleweight
you were going real good, don't let it slip nowComment

And I could have been a contender if I trained hard enough. The fact is he didn't Could have, doesn't cut it here.
Genuine or not, he fights there and that is what matter, zero excuses.
And Canelo has weighed more in the ring that quite a few super middleweight of history
That is another fact.Comment

Canelo's last fight below 160 was what..... ?
it was a JMW contest ONE POUND below his usual fighting weight
ONE POUND, you ***wit
only a very silly casual-fan would argue that 1lb = 1 division..... and only an utter ***wit would call Canelo a middleweight BEFORE he won the JMW title off Smith
you keep tripping over your own ******ityComment

No fighting in the range if a Middleweight is reality. You need to give your head a shake. But at least you established that Canelo's normal fighting weight isn't at JM. Thanks for that admissionComment

There is that word again. Could
Always isn't the important word. Could.
I could do a lot of things, I could have studied hard, trained hard, stayed late at my job, invested in *******.
But guess what? I didn't and Canelo didn't fight at bellow the JMW limit.
Deal with what happened and not what could have happened.Comment
