You didn't say rule of thumb initially. The guy going forward forcing the other guy back gets credit if he moves him to where he wants. If on the way back the opponent counterpunches and outscores him then obviously Golovkin wouldn't get credit for moving forward and forcing Canelo to the ropes. That wasn't the case in this fight. Canelo didn't land punches as he gave ground. Canelo couldn't deal with Golovkin's forward movement and agressiveness so he ended up.on the ropes. Golovkin gets credit for effective agression and ring generalship. In the center of the ring when they exchanged Canelo did well but he was unable to maintain it. Golovkin's pressure and power made him abandon the center and retreat to the ropes. He also landed more punches than Canelo. Canelo didn't land as much as you think he did . A lot of those punches were blocked or partially blocked. When he did land hard punches they had very little effect on Golovkin. After the majority of exchanges Canelo was the guy that went backwards.
Canelo didn't fight enough in each round.
Canelo was clueless on how to nullify Golovkin's jab.
He got outboxed by Golovkin as I predicted. Golovkin didn't KO him like I predicted but you can't KO every opponent.

NOBODY said that is how you score a fight

    nobody, except you

if you score for the guy going forward, then you are a fool

you Lemieux fans are precious lol

and Pacquiao did not beat Mayweather you muppet

even Freddie admitted that Pac lost, so..... get a life

Mr " anyone from 154-168 " went life-and-death with Danny Jacobs, so you guys started crying that Jacobs was too big LOL..... then Hypekin got dished up by a smaller fighter coming up in weight

lets face it, Canelo is a better fighter P4P than Golovkin

Canelo > Golovkin, hands down..... and he is only 26yo

explain to me why you think that Golovkin is a better fighter than Cotto..... Cotto did his business at 140, 147, 154..... he could not beat Canelo, and neither could Golovkin

in the rematch..... the fat red kid will lite that boy up like a christmas tree..... and Misskin will get out-boxed again

Canelo will be more confident, more aggressive, and better at the weight..... you are gonna cry in May

I have answered that silly, childish, irrelevant, question

          1) I am saying that at 155 Canelo was a JMW, NOT that he was a JMW champion..... so why do I have to name a JMW who won a title?

          2) the upper limit of the JMW division is not the issue

your flawed logic in judging a fighter by the " technical " classification of the bout..... is the issue

so..... why do I have to name a JMW who won a title? loool

kid, prove that middleweights weigh 155

          name one

also, why did Hypekin say the following.....

" middleweight is 160.... this is boxing "
..... he is not a middleweight. He just isn't.....

do you understand the functional difference that .2 lbs would make to a fighter?

you don't need a roadmap, you need to take an interest in golf or tennis..... something more your style
the sanctioning body also knows 155lb is MW, seems your the only imbecile who thinks otherwise, seems your the casual sheep ***er0.2lb at154 makes a big difference, idiots like you want weight divisions for each lb, most ridiculous thought ever

only in tardsville does 1 pound = 1 division

only in tardsville do you classify a fighter by the divisional minimum

only in tardsville do fans of a particular fighter completely ignore his opinion when they need to be right loooool

" middleweight is 160.... this is boxing..... " ~ Golovkin

              " he is not a middleweight, He just isn't..... " ~ Golovkin

hey, has anyone fed the elephant..... ?
