You’ve just said it yourself he’s a contender. Branding him a prospect is ignorant to what he’s accomplished this year.

Some posters need to stop confusing Josh Kelly with Josh Taylor on Josh Taylor threads. Josh Kelly is the posturing hands low English white boy with great reflexes but average power that's been putting on a show slapping up bums. He's the one with all the highlight videos that casuals are drooling over.

Josh Taylor is the slick moving, technically skilled Scottish white boy with power, timing and brilliant body work. He's built himself up from prospect to contender this year after schooling and beating up Ohara Davies and becoming the first fighter to stop and look good against Miguel Vasquez. Fans should not be confusing him with Kelly

Forget the rankings aspect cause they have little validity anyway, Josh Taylor has proven himself to be well above prospect level. He’s clearly a COTENDER, not a prospect, the win over Miguel Vasquez alone proves that.
Calling Josh Taylor a prospect is dismissive of his accomplishments.

I still don't remember who he was fighting, but he hit a guy with a flush liver shot and the guy didn't even flinch. If you can't hurt someone from a clean liver flush, then there's something wrong with you.

Is it just me or did Munguia look kinda average.I did not see much in last fight or what ive seen on net.Tayler looks to be an EASY future champ that win over MV was really good.I was thinking before fight that was not great matchmaking MV had not been beat in long time(bey dec bs)and had been active.Hard to beat and even harder to look good with.Thought Tayler did both you Scots got he ll of a fighter imo.

And for the record, guys like Dubois and Yarde and even Garcia are even world ranked, maybe not in top 15 (for Garcia, Dubois), but they are in top 20-30 and one fight away from being top 15.
