thats basically what it boils down to because delahoya beating mayorga doesnt really say much ...

hard to say. hopkins win was huge because he's 41 and came up to light heavy and dominated the king of the light heavies. A win by de la hoya would be huge becuase it would be over the best lb4lb fighter in the world. I'd say its a wash. but overall,,,hopkins is the greater fighter

de la hoya, but hopkins deserves to be remembered more, almost 20 years of dominance at middleweight. hes beat Glen Johnson, Syd Vanderpool, Trinidad, DLH, Tarver, and i believe that if he had another shot at jones he would win, and that he should b remembered as better than jones.,

BUt he wasnt better than JOnes. He was better than most of the greats around him at the time, but Jones was much better.

To the topic. De La Hoya's name is bigger, so it will be remembered more than Hopkins.
