The story hasn't really been told, but you can show how a protective father, with self ambition in his heart, was able to rear a star athlete through the tumult that was the fall of the USSR, the attempts towards open democracy, and the rise of Vladimir *****'s Russia).

An interesting story, if you've got the folks working on it who can tell it, but it's a story that you save for Creed 3.

The bastard son of Apollo Creed needs to return home and claim his place in LA, and the only way to do that is to topple his pop's Delphi Gym and beat Danny Wheeler (Andre Ward).

Ricky Conlan goes into jail, Adonis Creed gets a piece of the light heavyweight championship, Danny Wheeler gets a piece of the light heavyweight championship, and you determine the true kingpin in a "Battle of Los Angeles" at Staples or The Forum (whichever looks better on the screen).

While that's going on, you can start to introduce Drago and his son (Olympian for his country and a stellar talent, holder of the IBO belt, but backed by some Kremlin-connected money guy to showcase him in Russia as the world's greatest fighter).

The third movie almost writes itself
Well you put some thought into that.Maybe you need to give a shot at writing scrips in holywood.Sounds better then what was reported you might have something there.Nice post except the IBO part they should NEVER be used we cant stand a 5th

Would rather not validate the IBO belt in film, but that would seem to be the only way you could pull off the story; the only way you keep a fighter as talented as Ivan Drago's son from going global would be to hide him out, fighting for a prize that the world doesn't really value just yet

Or at the end of the movie you could have young Drago winning Olympic gold and announce that he is going to go pro and target Creed the way his own father did.

They could just write it in the script that rocky hit drago so hard in the 4th movie that he gave his future sons male pattern baldness

Odds are, Kovalev would try and fire the Director, blame the Producers for him screwing up his lines, then disappear into the night when people don't find his bull**** funny anymore.

Except that that wouldn't make sense; Apollo Creed was a long retired fighter, looking to come back and make a bit of coin fighting a novice pro in an exhibition.

If Creed beats Wheeler, he'd basically be the light heavyweight kingpin just peaking as a pro.

Maybe Drago could be like Loma some Olympic type freak ready to challenge early in the pros. Release the 3rd Creed movie 2 or so years after the 2nd which allows Creed some defences and Drago to fight 15 times and call out Creed after every fight he wins on the way up. Mocking his deceased father and turning it into a grudge match and super fight.

I think all alpha bit titles would work as far as value.Esp WBA and all there interim, regular, super regular, regular unleaded.I watched how the WBO became "legit"more and more writers naming them.I don't even like to write ibo we REALLY cant afford a 5th lol
