Kovalev would be the most suitable fighter to play Ivan Drago's son.

Yea he killed a guy I guess it fits.Has anyone ever heard a fighter who killed a guy talk like Kov did about Ward esp 2nd fight?I mean he used the world kill I believe and I know he said several times he wanted to hurt him so bad his carear would be over.Just asking because it just kinda bopped into my head and I have NEVER heard a guy talk like that after REALLY killing a guy.Comment

Only sensible way to weave Drago into it would be if they have an Anatoly/Vasyl Lomachenko arc to it (Drago, after having the career that he did in the USSR, and how things turned **** for him, bore his son with his wife. The story hasn't really been told, but you can show how a protective father, with self ambition in his heart, was able to rear a star athlete through the tumult that was the fall of the USSR, the attempts towards open democracy, and the rise of Vladimir *****'s Russia).
An interesting story, if you've got the folks working on it who can tell it, but it's a story that you save for Creed 3.
The bastard son of Apollo Creed needs to return home and claim his place in LA, and the only way to do that is to topple his pop's Delphi Gym and beat Danny Wheeler (Andre Ward).
Ricky Conlan goes into jail, Adonis Creed gets a piece of the light heavyweight championship, Danny Wheeler gets a piece of the light heavyweight championship, and you determine the true kingpin in a "Battle of Los Angeles" at Staples or The Forum (whichever looks better on the screen).
While that's going on, you can start to introduce Drago and his son (Olympian for his country and a stellar talent, holder of the IBO belt, but backed by some Kremlin-connected money guy to showcase him in Russia as the world's greatest fighter).
The third movie almost writes itselfComment

Good stuff man, a lot to explore if they wanted go dig deep into the Rocky mythology. I loved the first Creed, probably even more than the Rocky films to be honest. Just bummed it doesn't have the same director who was the true visionary so i'm hoping the sequel doesn't falter due to it.Only sensible way to weave Drago into it would be if they have an Anatoly/Vasyl Lomachenko arc to it (Drago, after having the career that he did in the USSR, and how things turned **** for him, bore his son with his wife. If I'm Sly, I'd just wait on Coogler, tbh. Creed brought the Rocky story into today's modern time in a way that Stallone likely couldn't have even guessed.Good stuff man, a lot to explore if they wanted go dig deep into the Rocky mythology. He's literally sitting on a gold mine if he plays this right; at least another 2 films and maybe another $500m at the box office.Comment
