Comments Thread For: Golovkin Promoter: Canelo Deal Would Have To Be Finalized Soon

I find it cute that 38 year old Rig. Is in his prime but 35 GGG is old...The first fight was a real good middleweight Title fight with GGG Landing more punches in 10 of then12 rounds. If Canelo’s promoter Delayahoya wanted the rematch he would have signed it by now. Delahoya is stalling to keep his golden goose Canelo from losing again to GGG. Maybe in 2 years when GGG is fully declined from where he is now then Canelo might fight him. For everyone that says GGG was outboxed please explain how GGG landed 51 more punches than Canelo and he was outlanded by GGG in 10 of 12 rounds. As a former fighter it’s hard to land high number of punches when one guy is running like a chicken with his head cut off like Canelo did in the 2nd half of the fight. It’s obvious Delahoya knows they Got a gift or they paid a judge (Byrd) to get a draw.Comment

The funny part is that he thinks he has boxing knowledge, yet 155 isnt MW according to him, I bet he won't respond to my last postComment

Again, your showing your lack of knowledge, show me where canelo rocked ggg several times, canelo hit ggg with the hardest punch he's ever landed and ggg didn't flinch, just walked straight through itUm when they did exchange Canelo almost aways got the better of the exchanges. He landed most times an insane 50% on power punches and ROCKED GGG several times.

So what weight is 155, you said it isn't considered MW, so fill me in genius--------Originally Posted by aboutfkntime View Post

you are just another casual fan who thinks that boxing is a maths game
learn the sport homie
if 155 is " middleweight ", then why did Golovkin refuse to fight Canelo at "middleweight"?..... oh right, because 155 is not middleweight, 160 isLesson for dummies and casual fans on how weight divisions work in the sport of boxing:155 is OBVIOUSLY not middleweight..... no fighter, or knowledgeable observer, would ever suggest otherwise
155 is 1lb over the JMW limit..... nothing more
you silly cvnts decided to call 1 pound an entire division..... simply because that was preferable to calling Golovkin out on his lies and bullshht
it was clearly obvious that Canelo was still a JMW
"In Professional boxing, the middleweight division is contested above 154 lb (70 kg) and up to 160 lb (73 kg)."
Middleweight [160 lbs maximum; 72.7 kg; or 11 stone, 4 pounds]
http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Weight_divisions
In championship boxing, any weight above 154 and up to 160 is middleweight.
That's why Canelo became the WBC and lineal middleweight champion of the world by beating Cotto at 155lbs.
The official sanctioned weight limit for that fight, and for Canelo's defence against Khan, was 160lbs, as is every middleweight title fight.Last edited by kafkod; 12-26-2017, 08:05 PM.Comment
