By what metric is he getting zero credit? Like, are people generally not rating him highly? Idk

Mikey would be a monster win

    Nah that's a huge jump

There maybe aren't prime future HOFers closer to his size but there rarely are anyhow

Opponents like Berchelt, Salido II, Tank, Garcia, Linares and some others are all quality picks

Man if he beat Mikey someone will say "Well who did Mikey ever beat". Dont think theres anyone thats had a prime win that someone wont be able to try and discredit.

They are above his weight class. Maybe he should take a page out of Rigondeaux and dare to be great, jump up a few divisions and fight the top guys.

Everyone wants to talk about Rigo losing while doing it meanwhile these other fighters don't have the balls to do what he did. Why won't Loma or GGG so it? Aren't those the top 2 p4p fighters?

I'm a fan of both and i think garcia will beat lomachenko but yeah, it's exactly what will happen if loma wins. 'He beat someone whos best win was broner' or some ****. He'll have to then prove himself against Crawford.

Garcia and Tank in a few years are the only guys, but even those guys haven't done much in the sport so I can't call them A level.

Rigo, Walters, and GRJ is already a hell of a resume for a guy with 10 fights especially after he dominated them all. Lomachenko is in a class of his own right now and sadly, there's nobody on the horizon that seems good enough to challenge him.

i just wanted to find the wins that floyd has that are on par with leonards over benitez, duran, hearns, and hagler or jones over toney and hopkins, or pac over barrera and marquez. i didnt find any for floyd unfortunately. yes its hard to get those type of wins. thats the whole point! you only get a few chances and floyd bottled it every time.

No one knows what somebody's prime is fighters have primes at different ages. I'm sure a 23 year old Broner is better than the current . A 23 year Old Mike Tyson was far better than the older Tyson. Pipino Cueavas was World Champ at 18 5 years later after Hearns knocked him out he was wash up. Take a look at Fernando Vargas his prime was at an early age the guy was wash up by 24

It was a good win, all things considered. And with the rest of his resume being as it is, I would say Loma is P4P #1 but let's be real about the quality of victory Rigo is.
I expected Loma to win. Rigo was too small, although that wasn't as much of a factor as expected, and too old. 37 is ancient for the little guys.

But what makes the win a notable one is how Loma humiliated Rigo.

I think most serious boxing fans expected Loma to win, but also expected someone as respected as Rigo to have his moments. It was meant to be somewhat competitive.

They didn't expect Loma to be so dominant that he'd crush Rigos heart and soul.

On paper, the win was just another notch on the belt. On analysis though, the win was more respectable because of how it was achieved.

Yeah, it was certainly less competitive than expected
