And I’m not real familiar with Hurd and his career. As they are both champions at the present time. But if you are going to troll my post, fine, do so at will. But do so using correct spelling and show my English language the proper “respect” it deserves! Merry Christmas

No Hurd said that he will do his mandatory next and then fight Lara.

His reasoning is that he just fought a slick southpaw (Austin Trout), and his mandatory is also a southpaw, and so is Lara.

So according to him, it makes sense to fight em in that order so that by the time he faces Lara, his southpaw game will be on peak, having fought two southpaws consecutively prior to facing him.

In my opinion it makes a hell of a lot of sense. Three consecutive training camps where you were training for the southpaw stance should put Hurd at a comparable advantage when he fights Lara.

That does make more sense, but the Charlos are not likely going to face Lara since one of them share a trainer with him. I hope Kanat Islam gets a shot at the WBO belt so we can get a tournament for a unified belt. All fighters would be with the PBC/Showtime so it would be easier to do. There is no one in the rankings right now I think can challenge any of the champs.

Lara said that he wants to fight Jermell, but then Jermell's brother then came out and said he aint gonna be smiling and playing friends with someone who has mean intentions towards his brother.

So it's like, Lara is in a tough spot now, and so is especially his trainer Ronnie Shields, who understandably won't want to risk losing either one of his prized fighters due to a beef with the brother of one of them.

I guess the best case scenario is that Hurd beats Lara, and then Hurd unifies with Jermell.
