Technically yes, he is ducking. That doesn't mean he gets slaughtered by Jacobs, but just that he acknowledges Jacobs is a big threat - he loses to Jacobs, he can say goodbye to a Canelo payday or GGG payday / unification. I do favour Jacobs both as a fighter, person and also to win vs Blow-Job Saunders.

It makes perfect business sense why he wouldn't fight him, but as a fan I want to see the best fight the best. Sadly, we won't be seeing that

And what you wrote about the onus sounds really cool but that is exactly what he did with Lemieux and his purse was only 1 million dollars plus whatever they scrapped up from Canadian PPV and a 10,000 seat arena.

He'd get more fighting Jacobs in Brooklyn, no doubt.

And he is going to have to wait until at least Fall 2018 to get a shot at GGG or Canelo.

The other big money match for BJS, Eubanks Jr., fights in February. He loses, he isn't available til June or July. Jr wins and its the fall for him as well.
