Wow, what an idiot. You do realize the UFC and boxing fighters such as Pacquiao have fought in other countries and still held the event at the US PPV prime time?

UK MMA fans rejoice--the UFC are set to stage their UFC 204 pay-per-view event in Manchester, England on the weekend of October 8th. But there is a twist. S

You actually think they're going to bank on Wilder who has never fought on PPV and Joshua who has not fought in the US to sell on US PPV, and essentially fk up the gate and the PPV in the UK - whether it's less money or not. You can charge $100 on US pay-per-view - Wilder hasn't proven he can sell sht.

God do I hate this whole A side crap. I think if the fight happens in the US Joshua needs more exposure here and Wilder needs to win impressively against Ortiz. Now back to the whole A side thing. I know boxing is a business but if you don’t want to fight the best and are just in it for the business side you will be missing out in some big paydays .

Joshua may be the A side, but as a PPV fight, revenue will without question be maximized by having the fight in the United States Though the gate in the UK will be bigger - the PPV market in the U.S. is so much bigger than in the U.K. PPVs in the UK sell for only $20 while in the U.S. it'll probably for for around $60. The money is and always will be in the PPV. Vegas will pay also pay nicely to have the fight there - that will compensate a little for the lost opportunity cost gate revenue that would have been made in the UK. If Joshua wants to be a global star and make even close to the money Mayweather did, he will have to establish himself as a star in the U.S. by fighting here and there is no better fight for this than against Wilder.

It won't be more revenue in the US at the moment , that is the issue of Wilder being so unknown in America.

That doesn't mean if he fights some decent opposition and builds his name up it can't grow, hopefully Joshua will also travel to America to do the same.
