This is the risky part. I also think Bivol beats Barrera, but it seems Barrera is confident enough in his abilities hence why he took this fight for less money.

Bruh. Bivol-Barrera is a quality fight. Knowing the winner faces Kovalev makes it even better becaise ofv what's at stake. Not only are we getting a quality fight we're getting a true sense of where Bivol is in the division. If he had fought and lost to Kovalev without fighting Barrera first he he'd be called a hype job. He beats Barrera and we know for a fact he's the real deal & ready for Kovalev.

        We're getting a quality fight

We get to see were Bivol is in tnt division

The winner gived us another quality fight against Kovalev

        And you're complaining smh

I think Main events has not done Barrera any favors I mean the guy has beat 2 top ten guys(at least when he fought them). And just beat another top 15-20 type guy he deserves a big payday.I mean it must suck to know your OWN promoter will be hoping you lose to either Kov or Bivol.

Should of went with the old, faded Kovalev. I think Barrera's chances were better in that one then taking on the hungry, fresher upstart in Bivol.

Good points it is a good fight(barrera v Bivol)Just wish Barrera would be getting a bigger payday he deserves it.And maybe the Kov fight(where they say he would have made more)had more strings to it then Main events is saying.Because to me it seems like he might be taking a tougher fight with Bivol. The only other thing I can think of is that he has sparred with Kov and really just don't like his chances.

                Good point.

A count me in as one rooting for Barrera.

It almost feels like they want him to lose to get rid of him.

He has not had the easiest of paths to his current position.

It almost feels like if he does not knock these guys out he will certainly be on the receiving end of a "controversial" decision!!!

                Hang in there Barrera !!!

Agree hard not to root for guy who just keeps fightin tough guys.Although I don't see the Bivol fight going well for him.And I just hope he gets another couple chances because he really does deserve it

I don't think losing to other top guys should be punished so much.I mean if you lose to coulple top 5 guys don't deff mean you aint still very solid top 10 guy.

If Barrera beats Bivol he can command more money for a Kovalev fight.

If Barrera loses to Bivol the Kovalev fight will still be possible for him anyway down the road.

                      It's a win-win for him.
