The oppression and racism are real, alive and well in the US, but in Wilder's case, I don't think he's correct. Wilder is not that skilled at all and isn't a thing of beauty to watch. He has no boxing skills, special effects, finesse, or the personality, just like GGG.
Now, in Floyd's case, there is certainly a case for racism and jealousy. Someone like Floyd comes along once in a lifetime or two, yet all you hear about him is what an asshole he is. Floyd is an American boxing legend. Wilder, not at all.
Give it a rest. If it were skills they were interested in they'd love Floyd and Ward, but let's face it, they hate them too.
ALWAYS a lame excuse readily available for racist haters !Comment

Stipe Miocic is the HW champ in the UFC - a white American who has equal the most title defenses in UFC HW history, knocking out his last 5 opponents and yet I don't hear his name.
What are the media supposed to do? Convince the public that Wilder is fighting world class opponents when that is demonstrably not true? It's a hard sell when there are other top dogs in the HW division that he hasn't fought yet.Comment

I think it says a lot more than you think.Last edited by 'b'; 12-23-2017, 01:20 AM.Comment

IT ain’t cause you’re black. It’s cause you’re an irrelevant heavyweight that is mediocre. Also, you’re poorly managed and promoted by Al Haymon.Comment

Very different era! Back then, being a white racist boxing fan was pretty much an oxymoron. If there were any white alternatives back then, the same thing would've happened. Leonard would be accused of being a runner, Holyfield would be called a hypejob and a duck for not fighting the designated euro fighter du jour, Tyson would be a bum who only fought tomato cans, etc....Comment

How about fighting real fighters instead of pretenders and maybe you’ll get some real respect. Until then, I question your skillset beyond pure punching power. You talk mad ish and act like you’re the greatest, but look at your pathetic CV for some one who has been WBC champ for almost 3 years and has had almost 40 fights.Comment
