when wilder knocked out stiverne in their second fight, that referee not only stopped deontay from landing the next few punches that could have destroyed stiverne, but he was right on time and was even able to ride his back, even though wilder tried to throw him off, and then he physically walked him back to his corner talking to him the whole time until wilder was calmer. I imagine that to control a guy like deontay when he's hyped and throwing punches is like trying to ride an angry bull. that was some of the best work I've ever seen by a referee.
Who is the best referee in professional boxing currently?

Jack reiss is terrible, always desperate to be center of attention, he never goes a full fight without shutting the **** up.
A good reff is one that is barely noticed. Not someone who tries to make the whole thing about them at every opportunity

The best referees are the ones that go unnoticed.
Any referee that's well known is only well known for the wrong reasons because they're ****.Comment

If you like seeing fights stopped prematurely then yes, Harvey Dock is the best. You'll never get a classic fight with Harvey Dock as the referee. Personally, I like Steve Smoger and Arthur Mercante.Comment
