If it's in America it's pointless. Two rigged fights prove that plus the build-up was really annoying and both guys really showed themselves to be annoying. Ward is the sorest "winner" I've ever seen.

I'd rather just focus on the inevitable unification match for all the marbles that is Gvozdyk vs. Bivol.

      In reality, yeah.

The official story is that Ward beat him twice. Both fights were close and controversial though, so a third would make sense if Ward was still fighting. Most people want to pretend that they weren't controversial because they like the official outcome.

Yeah, but I'd like for Kovalev to fight and beat at least 2 of the 3 between Barrera, Bivol, and Stevenson before a Ward 3 fight

I’m not a Ward fan whatsoever, I strongly dislike the guy, but he cleared up all the doubts in the rematch. I thought Kovalev edged the first fight 114-113, but in the second fight Ward CLEARLY won. Anyone looking at it objectively and without bias can see that. Ward has Kovalev’s number.

i ignore the fact practically everyone saw kovlalev win the first and ward win via lowblows in the 2nd when the scorecards were even, because i have my manual 101 on how to be a ward fanboy ^ as seen above. SOG baby, undefeated

Yes, I would love to see it with a good neutral referee and neutral judges. I think Kovalev would win. I thought Kovalev deserved to win the first fight and the 2nd fight was wrongly stopped with Kovalev bent over in pain from clear illegal low blows. Kovalev should have been given 5 minutes to recover and then the fight continued. After watching a replay of the ending the ref admitted he should have done this.

Let's say Kovalev beats Beterbiev and Bivol in an impressive fashion and looks like an improved fighter, would you like to see Kovalev vs Ward 3 in 2019?

I would like to see it. It's a fun rivalry that somehow didn't have a proper conclusion due to the second fight being stopped after a low blow.

Most people had Kovalev winning the first fight so they're essentially 1-1 and Kovalev is a totally different fighter now with a new trainer and new mentality.
Sure I'd like to see it. Kov was robbed in the 1st fight then got hit in the **** repeatedly with punches and head butts in the 2nd, so of course a 3rd fight I wouldn't mind seeing.

But Ward will avoid it like Cotto avoided a 3rd fight with Margarito

And what, see Ward do some more cheating?

                    No thanks.

Not really, but I am looking forward to kovalev fighting beterbiev or bivol. Add jack into the mix and 175 is really heating up. I like ward but if he's retired he should stay retired.
