Have no quarrel with any fighter who "ducks" a fight to make another fight that brings MORE $$$$$!!!

I think it makes sense for fighters to want one-off contracts. The multi-fight deals must feel like they are selling their souls.

I'm hoping it doesn't get in the way of a fight with Loma though. That is the single best fight I can think of right now, the one which would hype me up the most.

All you guys saying Mikey is ducking Loma have things all ****ed up. It's the other way around. Mikey has BEEN calling out Loma. Loma hasn't said **** other than it would be a good test for him. Mikey rolled up on Loma LA and told him to his face AND in front of the cameras, "Let's do this." All Loma's bi*ch-a$$ said was "You were slow against Broner" with his dad in the background saying "Yes it is a good fight but don't you think it is a PPV fight?" Mikey was like whatever, I'm just ready to fight. Get in the ring with him whenever you are ready Loma and see how slow he is if you want to test his skills. But we understand, when people are shook like that they panic.

TRUST ME...it's Loma who is ducking Mikey. Should have fight be made right now, Mikey is FAVORED. It's so easy to come on here and say Mikey is ducking Loma because [insert reason without substance here]. Let's keep this **** real, people. Loma beat a top fighter two divisions lower than him. And?

Finally regarding Lipinets..why not? Linares will be forced to fight Mikey. He's not going to stay inactive waiting on Loma...so here is an opportunity to get paid well and make some history.

Yes indeed Mikey G. 'pulled up' on Loma and team and asked him, "What's up? We can do this....." Then it was crickets from the Loma camp and now they have started the "Pacquiao 2.0" tirade of talking about certain fighters but never really making anything happen. Certain folks fall for it every time.

What are Showtime and Haymon playing at here?

I think Showtime is ******** to spend 7 million now on Spence and Garcia because if you look forward to 2018, HBO already has one certain major PPV event in the fold. The only thing close to certain for Showtime in terms of PPV will possibly be Wilder vs Joshua, but we don't know if we'll get that in 2018 and one or both could before it actually takes place. With banking on Spence and Garcia where both are relatively young, have not taken a lot of punishment thus far, and both can crack, it seems to be a worthwhile investment. Ultimately you can have some nice PPV's at 147 with Spence and whomever (Thurman, even TBC) and Mikey eventually fighting Lomachenko. Let me know what you think or how that sounds to you.

Showtime isn't paying 3.5M for this fight when they only paid Mikey and Broner combined 2M for their fight. This is coming out of PBC/Haymon's pocket. And there have been no reports of Spence or Garcia signing an exclusive long term deal with Showtime. These are big time payments by Haymon to retain 2 fighters and keep rival promoters off his back for the time being.

Yes, PBC/Al Haymon are the ones that will pay the 7 million but it will be to keep them in stable and fighting on Showtime. I don't think either Spence or Garcia will sign with any promoter any time soon. Spence has already stated he is going into promotion himself soon and Garcia with his team know how to navigate the boxing landscape.
